INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM
TO: 1VIICHAEL R. COUZZO, JR. VILLAGE MANGER
FROM: JEFFERY C. NEWELL, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
SUBJECT: RENA1vIING OF WILLOW GLEN SUBDIVISION
DATE: 7/29/2002
CC:
The Spear Group, owner and developer of Willow Glen Subdivision, seeks the approval of the
Village Council to rename "Willow Glen" subdivision to `R'venide Oaks at Tequesta" also to rename
the main roadway from "Sugarberry Way" to `Magnolia Wray".
Staff has consulted with the Village Attorney and Dan Dailey (surveyor) as to the legal issues that
may be involved with the renaming of the subdivision and main roadway. Both the attorney and
surveyor have indicated that no legal or technical issues apply.
Therefore, Staff recommends the renaming of the subdivision and main roadway as indicated in this
memo. The changes will be reflected on the plat at the time of the public hearing for the final
approval of the plat.

Re: Willow Glen (Rood Property)
Dear Mr. Couzzo:
conjunction with our marketing efforts, we have determined that we should change
`6fle name of our new home community from "Willow Glen" to "Riverside Oaks at
Tecluesta". There are several marketing reasons to change the name; one of which
is to avoid possible confusion as there is a project called Willoughby Glen that is
being sold in Martin County. Another reason is we think tinat identifying the project
with Riverside Drive will enhance our marketing results, Additionally, we would like
to change the street name from "Sugarberry Way" to "'Magnolia Way".
As you know, we have approval frorn the Village for our Tentative Final Plat using the
Willow Glen name, We would suggest that if possible changing the name for the
Final Plat approval to Riverside Oaks at Tequesta together with the sere rare
change would allow consistency and limit confusion. We look forward t,--.) hearing
from you as to whether this is acceptable,
Sincerely,
THESPEARGROUP
