January 21, 2022 Re: Annual Report of the Village lnfrastructure Surtax Citizen Oversight Committee Village Council-- The Village Infrastructure Surtax Citizen Oversight Committee conducted a public meeting on January 20, 2022 toe that the Surtax proceeds received by the Village of Tequesta were expended in a manner consistent with Village Council direction, the Florida Statutes, the Interlocal AgreernentCounty Ordinance No. 2016-032, and the ballot language approved by the voters, This annual report is prepared pursuant to Tillage C!% C Resolution No. 11 -17, adopted February 9, 2017, to document results of the Committere, s review of surtax expenditures. As provided in advance of and during the public meeting by Hugh unkley, Finance Director, the Sur -tax proceeds received by the Village were spent as follows: Fiscal year ending September 30, 2021: revenues of $473,106.42 in infrastructure surtax funds received by the Village; Fiscal year ending September 30, 2021: expenditures of $932,531.30 for •purchase of an ambulance; architectural, engineering and construction costs for the Village Community Center- sidewalk replacement projects- improvements to Tequesta Bridge; sidewalk rep)air and maintenance projects; installation of solar crosswalk signs; and design services for Remembrance Park. The Village Infrastructure Surtax Citizen Oversight Committee has determined that there have been no expenditures which are inconsistent with the requirements of Section 212.055(2), Florida Statutes, the ballot language approved by the voters, and the Village Council's approved Surtax proceeds expenditures.
