Regular Council STAFF MEMO Meeting: Regular Council - Mar 10 2022 Staff Contact: Matthew Hammond, Utilities Department: Utilities Director Approve Change Order No. 1 - Reject Disposal Main Relocation Project (Temporary Location) - Hinterland Group On December 9, 2021, the Village Council approved the award of Reject Disposal Main Relocation Project (Temporary Location) project to temporarily move the concentrate discharge point to the west side of the Jupiter Federal Highway (US1) Bridge until the bridge construction is complete when it will be moved back proposed relocation plan agreed to in concept by FDOT and FDEP. To ensure the lowest price for this project, the Village selected the Hinterland Group through a competitive bid selection process — Reject Disposal Main Temporary Relocation - ITB No. UTIL 09-21 in the amount of $225,900.00. During the January 14, 2022 progress meeting for the US1 Bridge project the Contractor and CEI consultant for the bridge project requested that the Village of Tequesta delay the relocation work until August 2022 to better coordinate with the bridge work. To accommodate this request, the Utilities Department is requesting a change order (Change Order #1) to the previously approved contract award to postpone the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP), which begins the contract times, to align with the current schedule for the US1 Bridge replacement. Financial implications of this change, if any, will be evaluated at the time the NTP is issued.
