Meeting Descriptions
Palm Beach County League of Cities General Membership Meeting
Monthly meeting rotates around the County and is hosted by the cities.
1 1/2 hour commitment. Lunch starts at 11:30 am with meeting and program at noon. Both
municipalities and business owners attend.
FL League of Cities - Annual Conference
Usually rotates between Orlando and Hollywood. 3 days of meetings, presentations and
vendors. Excellent networking opportunity with municipalities across the State
PBC Countywide Coastal Council
Laurie Brandon to provide a short description since she attends the meetings
Lox River Management Coordinating Council
The Loxahatchee River Management Coordinating Council was established by Chapter 83-358,
F.S. The Council is comprised of federal, state, and regional agencies and local representatives.
It advises the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the South Florida Water
Management District on matters that affect administration of the Loxahatchee River, to identify
and resolve inter -governmental coordination problems and to enhance communications.
Furthermore, the Council is responsible for the development of the Loxahatchee River

North County Intergovernmental Coordination Program
Usually held at Juno Beach Town Hall. The sitting District 1 Commissioner holds the meeting
(currently Commission Maria Marino). Each municipality gives a brief overview of what is going
on in their city. Also includes some speakers (for instance Treasure Coast Regional Planning
reporting on Brightline). Usually lasts no more than 1 1/2 hours.
Northern Palm Beach Cultural Council
Represents an array of cultural venues and organization that serve to inspire residents and
visitors in the cultural arts while growing our local economy, and enhancing our quality of life.
These entities serve to enrich our lives, entertain us, deepen our connections, challenge our
beliefs, and add knowledge and beauty to our everyday lives.... From theatre, music, historical
landmarks, ocean science, creative arts, galleries and lectures, to outdoor art festivals, culinary
events, dance performances and photography, the Northern Palm Beaches is home to wealth of
cultural opportunities that we support, and serve to enhance our quality of life.

Breakfast - primarily geared to businesses. Mayor's give an annual update. Speakers include
Verdenia Baker and Commissioner Marino regarding County topics. This past month
Congressman Brian Mast was the speaker. Good networking with business community. Doors
open at 7:30 AM; meeting over at 9:00;
Palm Beach North Chamber Business After Hours
In conjunction with local hotels and businesses, after -hour networking events are held
throughout the year. You can exchange ideas and business cards in an informal, relaxing
setting. Enjoy the hospitality of local hotels, stores and restaurants or host an event at your
business. Share the Palm Beach experience with your co-workers, business associates, clients
and prospective customers.
PBN Chamber Economic Development — Sub -committee
Meets via Zoom on the last Thursday of each month from 8:30 — 10:OOam. Our main focus is the
Chambers coordination with Smart & Connected Cities along with helping each Municipality
having a strong Disaster Resiliency program.
PBN Governmental Affairs — Sub -committee
Usually 2nd Friday of the Month
North County municipalities report on what is going on in their city. Speakers include reports of
various agencies of interest to municipalities. For instance Wendy Sartory recently reviewed
elections procedures.
