Village 345 Tequesta Drive Tequesta, FL 33469 of T To: Honorable Mayor and Village Council Through: Jeremy Allen —Village Manager From: Matthew Hammond — Utilities Director Date: May 3, 2022 Re: Utilities Department Monthly Report Utilities Department April 15, 2022 — May 3, 2022 • The Utilities Dashboard for April 2022 is attached. 561-768-0700 www.tequesta.org • The Village was successful in securing a Resilient Florida Program Planning Grant through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for $95,000 (no matching funds required) to conduct aVillage-wide vulnerability assessment. • Dennis Rick and Matt Hammond presented on the Village's use of Advanced Metering Infrastructure to improve our customer service experience to Utilities, Consultants and vendors from across the state at the Florida Water Resources Conference. • The Village joined the Southeast Florida Governmental Purchasing Co-operative Group. The Southeast Florida Governmental Purchasing Co-operative Group is comprised of 59 government entities in Miami -Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties to provide cost savings and cost avoidances to member entities by utilizing the buying power of combined requirements for common basic items. This membership will be used to help further reduce costs moving forward. • The State Revolving Fund program loan application for the next phases of water main replacements was submitted and received by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection on 4/29/22. The state typically takes about a month after receipt of the application to review and turn around the loan agreement. • The Florida Department of Health permit was received for Water Main Replacement Projects 1 & 4 (Tequesta Dr &Country Club Dr) funded by the SRF loan above. The bid for the project is anticipated to be advertised this summer.
