RESOLUTION NO. 22-22 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A REVISED LAND DEVELOPMENT FEE SCHEDULE AS
PROVIDED BY SEC. 62-181 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING FEES
ASSOCIATED WITH ADMINISTRATION AND REGULATION OF VACATION RENTAL USES WITHIN
THE VILLAGE PURSUANT TO VILLAGE CODE SEC. 78-891; PROVIDING THAT THIS SCHEDULE
OF FEES AND CHARGES SHALL BE AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION AT ALL TIMES AT THE
VILLAGE HALL DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION OF THIS
SCHEDULE OF FEES AND CHARGES IN APPENDIX D. OF THE VILLAGE'S CODE OF
ORDINANCES; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A REVISED LAND DEVELOPMENT
FEE SCHEDULE AS PROVIDED BY SEC. 62-181 OF THE VILLAGE CODE

WITHIN THE VILLAGE PURSUANT TO VILLAGE CODE SEC. 78-891;
PROVIDING THAT THIS SCHEDULE OF FEES AND CHARGES SHALL
BE AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION AT ALL TIMES AT THE VILLAGE
HALL DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS; PROVIDING FOR
PUBLICATION OF THIS SCHEDULE OF FEES AND CHARGES IN
APPENDIX D. OF THE VILLAGE'S CODE OF ORDINANCES; PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, desires to adopt
a revised land development fee schedule for all land development activities in the Village for
the citizens of the Village of Tequesta and for other members of the public; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to create fees for the registration and
renewal of Village -authorized vacation rental permits, and associated inspections required
therefor, the payment of which shall be required prior to operating a vacation rental property
within the Village of Tequesta in accordance with the newly created Chapter 78, Article XIV
of the Village Code; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to incorporate all such fees and charges
adopted in accordance with Section 62-181 of the Code of Ordinances into one
comprehensive fee schedule; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to make certain the schedule of fees and
charges is available for inspection such that any member of the public may be aware of the
cost of land development activity within the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Village Council of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, hereby adopts
the revised Schedule of Fees and Charges attached hereto as Exhibit A and made part
hereof as if fully set forth herein. The revisions adopted herein establish vacation rental
permit registration and renewal fees, as well as inspection fees, all for the registration and
operation of vacation rentals in conformance with Village Code.
Section 2: This duly adopted Schedule of Fees and Charges shall be available at

the Village Hall for inspection by the public during normal business hours, and shall further
be published in Appendix D of the Village's Code of Ordinances.
Section 3: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.

To cover all additional administrative costs, actual or anticipated, including, but

applicant shall compensate the village for all such costs prior to the processing of

is determined as appropriate by the village. Failure to make such payment may
be grounds for not issuing a building or zoning permit, certificate of occupancy or
completion.

Costs associated with advertising for public hearings and other public notice
requirements are the responsibility of the applicant.
11.
Fee reduction for certain not -for -profit entities.
Fees for property owners that are 501(c)(3) entities shall be reduced by 50%.
12.
Reduction or Waiver of Certain Fees by the Village Council:
Notwithstanding the above provisions of this Fee Schedule, the Village Council
may, from time to time, upon written request of the applicant, reduce or waive
applicable fees for application resubmittals to either the Planning & Zoning Board
or the Village Council, or for requests for development order time extensions
when extenuating circumstances exist, which were not caused by action or
inaction of the applicant, and that warrant the granting of relief in the sole

discretion of the Village Council. All such requests shall be reviewed on a case -
by -case basis. Any relief granted by the Village Council pursuant to this provision
may be up to full amount of the applicable fee or any fraction thereof, in the sole
discretion of the Village Council.
