HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_Planning and Zoning_6/16/2022MINUTES PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEETING VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FL JUNE 16, 2022 5:30 PM COUNCIL CHAMBERS CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL The meeting was called to order by Board Chair, Janet Strand at 5.30 p.m. A roll call was taken by Deputy Clerk, MaryAnn Grieser. Present were: Board Chair, Janet Strand, Vice -Chair Steven Eagen, Board Members Elizabeth Schauer, Leslee Dasher, Theresa Maggio, and Jeanne McEldowney. Absent was: Board Members James Hackett and Sherry Ambrose. Also present were Village Attorney, Dylan Brandenburg, and Community Development Director, Nilsa Zacarias. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 1. MOTION: Member Schauer made a motion to approve the agenda. Vice -Chair Eagen seconded the motion. Carried unanimously 5-0. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 2. MOTION: Vice -Chair Eagen made a motion to approve the previous meeting minutes from May 19, 2022. Member Dasher seconded the motion. Carried unanimously 5-0. AGENDA ITEMS 3. SPM 4-22: Application from TEQUESTA PROPERTY OWNER 100 LLC for a site plan modification to modify the exterior building and accent colors to SMOKEY BLUE SW-7604, ANCHOR AWEIGH SW-9179, SANDBAR SW-7547. The application also includes the replacement of the existing roof material and color from tile to steamed metal -colored SUNNET BLUE. The subject property is located at 209 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida 33469. Village Attorney Brandenburg announced the quasi-judicial nature of the item and swore in the Applicant, Mr. George Gentile. Members Schauer, Maggio, and McEldowney disclosed that they drove by the site. Mr. Gentile presented a PowerPoint explaining the site plan request for the proposed modifications at 209 Tequesta Drive. He began the presentation with the history of the site/building. Mr. Gentile explained that the request is to replace the existing accent colors and the roof with a metal roof as well as repairs to the flat roof. Member Schauer questioned whether there would be any potential improvements to the landscaping at the property. Mr. Joseph Campione, the representative for the owner at 209 Tequesta Drive, mentioned that their main focus was the repair/replacement of the roof but intended on improving the landscaping after the roof was finished. MOTION: Member Dasher made a motion to approve SPM 4-22. Member Schauer seconded the motion. Carried unanimously 5-0. STAFF COMMENTS Director Zacarias thanked the Village Clerk's office for assisting with the meeting. PUBLIC COMMENTS There were no Public comments. BOARD COMMENTS There were no Board comments. ADJOURNMENT MOTION: Member Schauer made a motion to adjourn at 5.44 pm. Member Dasher seconded the motion. Carried unanimously 5-0. ,AZ r`
