Stormwater
• El Portal Stormwater & Sidewalk Improvements — the project is at 100% design with the contract
upon which we will recommend piggybacking going to the Palm Beach County Commission in
March. We anticipate bringing the project for approval to the Village Council in April with a notice to
proceed issued soon afterwards, if approved.
• FDEP Vulnerability Assessment Grant/ Project
o Draft asset data spreadsheet and web -based map reviewed together by public works and
utilities staff; compiling comments for submittal to JEA
• Gulfstream Dr. & Riverside Dr. Bioswale 319 Grant — required grant reports all provided to FDEP
including the final draft and final report; now can submit pay request for the grant ($30k
Water
• FDEP State Revolving Loan (SRF) Fund loan
o Water Main (WM) Project 1- Tequesta Drive and WM Project 4 — Country Club Dr. (South) —
lowest responsible and responsive bidder was B&B Underground Construction, Inc at
$3,560,590 — on agenda for approval of authorization of award and execution of contract
o Requested additional SRF funding due to gap in engineer's opinion of probable cost and the
actual bid
o Received approval from FDEP to award the project
• Water Utility Financial Feasibility Update —
o Due to 60% higher bid than expected for the AC pipe project, much higher than expected,
we re-evaluated the draft model and projected costs for CIP projects in the model
o Requested updated cost estimates of planned capital projects from consultants
o Most increases in projects have been about 30% update financial forecast of the water
utility due to substantial increases in materials/ constructions and supply chain issues to
forge a path forward for project phasing and financial sustainability
• Jupiter Island interconnect —South Martin Regional Utility (SMRU) has discontinued taking water
from the Village
