Craig, PE, Director, Utilities Department Date: January 30, 2023 Re: Utilities Department Monthly Report The Utilities Department monthly report for January is found below: 561-768-0700 www.tequesta.org Stormwater • El Portal Stormwater & Sidewalk Improvements — the project is at 100% design with the contract upon which we will recommend piggybacking going to the Palm Beach County Commission in March. We anticipate bringing the project for approval to the Village Council in April with a notice to proceed issued soon afterwards, if approved. • FDEP Vulnerability Assessment Grant/ Project o Draft asset data spreadsheet and web -based map reviewed together by public works and utilities staff; compiling comments for submittal to JEA • Gulfstream Dr. & Riverside Dr. Bioswale 319 Grant — required grant reports all provided to FDEP including the final draft and final report; now can submit pay request for the grant ($30k Water • FDEP State Revolving Loan (SRF) Fund loan o Water Main (WM) Project 1- Tequesta Drive and WM Project 4 — Country Club Dr. (South) — lowest responsible and responsive bidder was B&B Underground Construction, Inc at $3,560,590 — on agenda for approval of authorization of award and execution of contract o Requested additional SRF funding due to gap in engineer's opinion of probable cost and the actual bid o Received approval from FDEP to award the project • Water Utility Financial Feasibility Update — o Due to 60% higher bid than expected for the AC pipe project, much higher than expected, we re-evaluated the draft model and projected costs for CIP projects in the model o Requested updated cost estimates of planned capital projects from consultants o Most increases in projects have been about 30% update financial forecast of the water utility due to substantial increases in materials/ constructions and supply chain issues to forge a path forward for project phasing and financial sustainability • Jupiter Island interconnect —South Martin Regional Utility (SMRU) has discontinued taking water from the Village Vice -Mayor Kyle Stone Mayor Molly Young Council Member Frank D'Ambra III Council Member Laurie Brandon Seat 5 - Vacant Village Manager Jeremy Allen Page 127 of 1094 Hgenaa item inu. ■ O O O 0 0 O O O O O O O O O 0 O 00 OLr� 00 0 Lr�Ln N N . -I r-I 9<11 CO b a�� aJ ° �PGG a C ,-.
