Discussion and direction on Draft 2023/24 Strategic Plan
On February 7, 2023 the Village Council held a planning workshop facilitated by Herbert A. Marlowe,
Jr., to review the FY22 Strategic Plan and develop the 2023/2024 Strategic Plan. The draft 2023/24
plan is included in your packet for your review and for further discussion.
Objectives for Strategic Planning.
• Review FY 22 Strategic Plan
• Discuss role and responsibilities
• Review of Vision, Mission Statements, and Core Values
• Discuss Pillars
• Develop Initiatives and Action Steps

• Continue the plan to move to 8 Man Shifts for Fire Services
• Pursue State of Florida funding (with match consideration) for Tequesta Park
• Continue replacement of Utilities Infrastructure (Water and Stormwater)
• Advance codes and ordinances consistent with Master Plan conclusions to maintain low -
profile community and distinctive community identity
• Develop Remembrance Park

• Meet Unassigned Fund Balance
• Conduct fiscal analysis regarding the cost to bury power lines and inform residents of
financing options
• Continue road maintenance program
• Create and fund to purchase critical land areas that serve to maintain the Village's
distinctive features that includes: parklands, open space and natural habitat

• Formally establish a vehicle and other equipment maintenance fund
