AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 18 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES: "WATER" ARTICLE I AT SECTION 18-3(b) RELATING TO WATER RATES AND CHARGES, SO AS TO AMEND RATES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 18 Village 3(b) to relating to "Water" read as follows: "(b) Quantity Rate. quantities of water to have been delivered: of the Code of Ordinances of the is hereby amended at Section 18- Applicable to all shown by meter readings (1) All User Classes - Monthly: $1.05 for each 1,000 gallons or fraction thereof up to 15,000 gallons delivered; $1.85 for each 1,000 gallons or fraction thereof from 15,001 to 30,000 gallons delivered; $3.20 for each 1,000 gallons or fraction thereof for all quantities delivered above 30,000 gallons. In the event there is a master meter measuring quantities of water for two or more residential units, the gallons measured and charged pursuant to the terms of this section shall be prorated by dividing the total gallons metered by the number of units included on the master meter. Section 2. If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or applications of this Ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or applications and to this end, the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby declared severable. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be codified and made a part of the official Code of Ordinances of the Village of Tequesta. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect October 1, 1990, applicable to all billings issued on or after October 1, 1990 for quantities delivered.
