Regular Council STAFF MEMO -D Meeting: Regular Council -Apr 13 2023 Staff Contact: Jeremy Allen, Village Manager Department: Manager Consider Approval of the 2023-2024 Strategic Plan SUMMARY: 4 On February 7, 2023 the Village Council held a planning workshop facilitieated by Herbert A. Marlowe, Jr., to review the FY22 Strategic Plan and develop the 2023-2024 Strategic Plan. On April 3, 2023 Council discussed the final draft of the 2023-202. The final draft is included in your back-up agenda packet. If approved, the plan will be added to the Village's website for public access and used a guiding document for staff through the budget process. This document and any attachments may be reproduced upon request in an alternative format by completing our Accessibility Feedback Form, sending an e-mail to the Village Clerk or calling 561-768- 0443. Values • Excellence • Ethics and Transparency • Quality of Life • Employees • Communication • Compassion Highest Priority Objectives The Priorities • Continue the plan to move to 8 Man Shifts for Fire Services • Develop Remembrance Park • Pursue State of Florida funding (with match consideration) for Tequesta Park • Advance codes and ordinances consistent with Master Plan conclusions to maintain low - profile community and distinctive community identity • Continue replacement of Utilities Infrastructure (Water and Stormwater) Priority Objectives • Meet Unassigned Fund Balance • Conduct fiscal analysis regarding the cost to bury power lines and inform residents of financing options • Create and fund to purchase critical land areas that serve to maintain the Village's distinctive features that includes: parklands, open space and natural habitat • Continue road maintenance program • Expand tree planting efforts • Formally establish a vehicle and other equipment maintenance fund Page 242 of 556 Agenda Item #14.
