Bradford, Village Manager --7-a DATE: October 19, 1989 SUBJECT: Ordinance Prohibiting Scavenging of Recyclable Materials Attached is an Ordinance for your consideration relative to prohibiting scavengers from taking the recyclable materials placed at curbside by Tequesta residents. This may seem trivial, but we have received reports of this occurring and, if left unchecked, this has the potential of financially effecting the Recycling Program by reducing revenues received from redemption of recyclable materials. Additionally, upon proper enforcement of the Ordinance, it will reduce the flow of persons traversing throughout the Village to scavenge for recyclable materials. It is recommended that the Village Council adopt this Ordinance for the reasons stated herein. TGB/jmm Attachment A ORDINANCE NO.
