MEMORANDUM
)00/
TO: Village Council
FROM: Thomas G. Bradford, Village Manager .-----f7
DATE: September 21, 1989
SUBJECT: Occupational License Delinquency Fees
The Occupational License Administrator has requested
consideration of granting an additional thirty (30) days prior to
the implementation of delinquency fees for Occupational Licenses.
The reasoning behind this request is due to the fact that the
Village in most instances must have proof of a County Occupational
License prior to issuance of a Village Occupational License. Palm
Beach County in most instances does not issue County Occupational
Licenses until October 1 of each year. This causes many people to
pay a delinquency fee due to no fault of their own. By extending
the implementation of delinquency fees until November 1 of each
year, the Village extends a reasonable period of time (30 days) to
all applicants to receive their County license and apply for a
Village license without payment of a delinquency fee.
It is requested that your consideration be given to adoption of
an Ordinance which would amend the current Village Ordinances to
implement this change.
