A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY,
FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 7-88/89 OF
THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA IN ORDER TO PROVIDE
AN EXPANDED STUDY AREA FOR THE TEQUESTA
DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT TASK FORCE.
WHEREAS, the Village Council by adoption of Resolution No. 7-
88/89 created the Tequesta Downtown Development Task Force; and
WHEREAS, the designated study area for the Task Force as
contained within Resolution No. 7-88/89 was the C-2 Community
Commercial District of the Village generally located east of Old
Dixie Highway and west of U.S. Highway One; and
WHEREAS, after having met on a regular basis, the Task Force
had concluded that in order to provide a proper Master Plan that
the scope of the Task Force needs to be expanded to include the
vacant Coast Guard lands located within the Village lying
northward of CR-707.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 3 of Resolution No. 7-88/89 is amended to
read as follows:
"Section 3. The Task Force shall review and make
recommendations to the Village Council regarding any items
pertaining to development and redevelopment of the C-2 Community
Commercial District of the Village for the expressed purpose of
providing recommendations for the proper redevelopment of
Lighthouse Plaza and Tequesta Plaza integrating the same within
a recommended Master Development Plan for those remaining vacant
lands within the Village east of Old Dixie Highway and west of
U.S. Highway One. Inclusion of the vacant Coast Guard lands
lying northward of CR-707 may be included within the planning
process to develop the recommended Master Plan as deemed
appropriate by the Task Force. "
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was offered by
Councilmember who moved its
adoption. The motion was seconded by
Councilmember , and upon being put to a
vote, the vote was as follows:
FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION
The Mayor thereupon declared the Resolution duly passed and
adopted this day of , A.D. , 1989.
