SUBJECT: Village Council Priorities; Agenda Item
Appearing below, please- find a listing of the priorities
submitted by the Village Councilmembers. In order to assign a
priority ranking to the list, please rank each of the priorities
below using the following system:
5 - Critical Priority. Should be addressed immediately.
4 - Important. Should be addressed within 6-12 months.
3 - Necessary. Should be addressed within 12-18 months.
2 - Beneficial. Should be addressed within 18-24 months.
1 - Not important at this time.
So that individual rankings may be comparable, please
distribute your scores so thaj your rankings average to 3. The
staff will then be able to arrange the priorities in order of
importance.
Public Safety Consultant Study and Implementation of
Findings
Establishment of Water Department 10-Year Plan
Tequesta Drive Improvement Project Completion
Development of ' Downtown Master Plan with Zoning
Recommendations
Connector Road
Police Department Facility

Cypress Drive Drainage Project
Develop new recreational facilities for all age groups
including teens and pre-teens.
Work to have arts complex, library, etc. , located and
approved.
Development of a strong effective Parks and Recreation
Department
Annexation Plan, first enclaves then adjacent
properties.
•
Development of a recreation center.
Develop methods or controls to increase revenues and
budget tax increases consistent with demands.
A more active role of the Village in sponsoring civic
and cultural activities, possibly creating a civic
cultural committee.
Upon submitting your ranked priorities to the staff, we can _
determine the top priorities to be submitted at the next
available Village Council Meeting for approval by motion. This
entire matter is scheduled for review and discussion at the
Village Council Meeting on July 27, 1989.
