Bradford, Village Manager -7-- DATE: April 7, 1989 SUBJECT: Transference of Excess Undesignated General Fund Balance to the Capital Improvement Fund Attached hereto, please find a copy of page 23 of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the Village of Tequesta for the fiscal year ended September 30, 1988. This indicates a fund balance on September 30, 1988 of $905,724. The Finance Department recommends that the Village keep on hand a fund balance of at least $450,000 for cashflow purposes. Therefore, excess funds are available for utilization by the Village. It is recommended that the Village Council authorize the transference of $400,000 to the. Capital Improvement Fund. Provision of these funds will minimize the impact of the Tequesta Drive Improvement Project for which construction is anticipated to commence in May of 1989. Approval of the Village Council is requested.
