These improvements are required since the area has deteriorated
while growth in the North County has blossomed. Palm Beach County
continues to mow the partially grown areas on each side of the road
but has no plans to improve either the roadway or related areas. The
continual operation of vehicles in the sugar sand north of the road
and near the bridge has made it impossible for grass or even weeds to
grow. Pictures of the blemished areas will be available at each
presentation. The Tequesta Planning Commission studied this

walking to the inland waterway. In fact, the plan calls for
maintaining a natural walkway of grass or natural composites, around
the bridge and to the waterway.
This short range plan we believe, will encourage interest as
well as funding for a long range plan that would include trees,
flowers and the required water for total beautification.
Formal approvals for the short term plan have been or will be
obtained from the Palm Beach County, Permit Section of the Land
Development Division, and the current United States Government
agencies utilizing the land where any material changes will be made.
In addition to these formal agreements, we have coordinated with
those Village representatives that would be involved in the project.
These people included: Gary Preston, Director of Public Works &
Recreation; Carl Roderick, Chief of Police; G.Village Manager; and Dr. Stanley B. Jacobs, Thomas radf
