TEQUESTA PLANNING COMMISSION
MINUTES OF MEETING
AUGUST 10, 1988
The Tequesta Planning Commission held its meeting on
Wednesday, August 10, 1988 at 9:00 A.M. in the Village Council
Chambers, 357 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida.
Present were: Stanley B. Jacobs, Chairman, Mary S. Corr,
Vice-Chairman; Alfred S. DeMott, Secretary; Eloda Tangney, and
James Stergas, members.
The minutes of June 13, 1988 meeting were approved as
submitted.
Old Business - There has been some favorable comments
received to date concerning the status of Palm Tree planting.
The entry medians on U.S. Highway One is still on hold.
Status of Jim Pilz' Plan for Highway 707 - Jim Pilz has been
in touch with the person in charge of the property in Miami. He
is to send them a sketch showing the proposed gate with a lock,
close the other entrance, and the "No Parking" sign on the grass.
Mr. Jim Pilz will report additional information at the next
meeting.
Alfred DeMott submitted Council 's resolution to support the
continuation of WC-130 Program which uses aircraft for the
tracking of hurricanes in Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico.
There, being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at
9:30 A.M.
A joint meeting of the Community Appearance Board and the
Planning Commission will convene after the Planning Commission
meeting to discuss the landscaping of Tequesta Drive.
The next meeting is scheduled on September 12, 1988 at 7:30
P.M.
