The Village of Tequesta ' s support of this project last year enabled us to increase the attendance thereby making it an important com- munity activity that was a very successful fund raiser for the Lighthouse Gallery. If permission is granted we agree to use the services of two Tequesta Police Officers for traffic control , furnish the Village of Tequesta with a certificate of liability for insurance coverage and be responsible for clean-up. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience . Sincerely, - E. Faye Schrecengost Executive Director EFS/eab Copies to : Mr. Scott Ladd, Building and Zoning Dept. Traffic, as per previous years, will be closed on Tequesta Drive from Venus Avenue to Seabrook Road, and will easily be rerouted via Seabrook Road to (east) Beacon Street to Venus Avenue. Two police officers will be needed to work a traffic/security detail. The Village Public Works Department has .the required number of "Detour" signs which will be posted as shown on the enclosed map of the site area. Last year, because of the closing of Tequesta Drive, it was necessary to borrow road barricades from the Town of Jupiter, some 30 in addition to those belonging to the Village. However, because of the planned use of the Village Green area for this Festival, additional barricades will be required. I would like to recommend that the barricades be provided by the Festival - Committee. Approximately four hundred feet (400 feet) of space will be barricaded this year. I estimate that seventy-five (75) to one hundred (100) barricades (three-foot-wide each) be obtained from any of the several companies in the area that provide this service. This will not only simplify the drop-off and pick-up of the barricades, but it will ensure that the barricades used are in top working order. Regrettably, many of the ones used last year were of marginal repair condi- tion. There was one instance on Tequesta Drive at Seabrook Road where a male juvenile, admittedly not watching where he was going, was wailing past a barricade and tripped into it, and it fell down upon him, causing him only hurt ego because of his clumsiness. This particular barricade fell over twice that I observed that day due to its flimsy state of repair, but we had to use all that we had. Other than this one consideration, the Festival should proceed successfully and without incident, as it has in the past. in (o r - L'iluzza-- I .i 111111 ■ ~ ' / • 1 ',Amtrak?, NII ■■1is'in 4- railirlam •Vi • • iiiimt 'lc r_ [dour n 7 1 I 111111 L411.144 ® Festival Site •i Di 7, PI!!
