TEQUESTA PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES OF MEETING MAY 9, 1988 The Tequesta Planning Commission held its meeting on Monday, May 9, 1988 at 7:30 P.M. in the Village Hall . Members present were: Dr. Stanley B. Jacobs, Chairman; Mary S. Corr, Vice-Chairman; Alfred S. DeMott, Acting Secretary; James Pilz, Eloda Tangney, James Stergas, members. The minutes of April 11, 1988 meeting was approved as read with amendments worded to "No vehicle parking at Water - limited parking would be made available. Old Business: Status of #707 James Pilz is meeting with Mr. Bradford on Tuesday, May 10th regarding the Bridge on #707, to discuss "plan of interest" . Plans to meet with Chief Flannery before going to the County. Entry medians on U.S. No. 1 after the trees are approved. Presentation set for the planting of trees to the Village Council on Thursday, May 12th. Parking meters may be installed at the Lighthouse Gallery Square North. Stanley Jacobs, Chairman, stated that no one would be in favor of this suggestion. The Committee discussed the landscaping of the parking lot along the lines of the Discher plan and asked the Chairman to convey their feelings to the Village Council that this project be done as soon as possible to be paid for by the Village and would set an example to beautify the Village. Perhaps the merchants abutting the parking lot would help contribute to the cost. The tile which was to be installed at the entrance of the Tequesta Country Club was discussed. A new plan was suggested with cut coral in lieu of the Spanish tile. This will be installed at both gates. Jim Pilz and Jim Stergas brought up the matter of "dead Publix" . The Committee asked the Chairman to obtain an update on this matter for the next meeting. The survey results showed that there was a great deal of interest in the type of business that would go in there and nothing has been done to date. The Chairman will investigate and report at the next meeting. Tequesta Planning Commission Minutes of Meeting May 9, 1988 Page 2 - The next meeting is scheduled on June 13th, 1988 at 7:30 P.M.
