Stormwater
• El Portal — contract executed, expect to issue notice to proceed and hold the kick off meeting in June
• FDEP Vulnerability Assessment Grant/ Project — consultant continuing inland modeling; targeting
late summer/ early fall for public outreach
• Heavy summer rain — MaV24th —Tequesta experienced heavy rainfall on May 24t" and flooding was
observed on Tequesta and Willow, but did drain fairly quickly, in a few hours. Lowering the weir at
Tequesta and Cypress did not help as much as hoped but this area is low and has had historic
flooding. The exfiltration trench at Willow was checked, has mulch from the rain runoff but did not
appear blocked but it will get cleaned. Other possible options are being evaluated. Below are photos
from May 24, 2023 and October 2022
