Craig, PE, Director, Utilities Department Date: June 29, 2023 Re: Utilities Department Monthly Report The Utilities Department monthly report for June is found below: Stormwater 561-768-0700 www.tequesta.org • El Portal —joint project with Public Works — includes road/ sidewalk improvements o Pre -construction meeting held June 13 o Letters on doorhangers hand -delivered to residents o Map on website for projects affecting customers o Notice to Proceed issued June 26tn o Right-of-way staking completed on Monday, June 26tn o SFWMD dewatering permit application submitted to the SFWMD and paid o Tree removal — PW met on site with Terracon, removal pending o Video with Mayor scheduled for Friday July 14t" about the project • FDEP Vulnerability Assessment Grant/ Protect o Met with Holtz, grant consultants, to discuss grant opportunities — based on that meeting considering requesting additional funding for the VA and extending deadline because... o Have identified some data gaps for the VA — determining if assessment is more complete/ added value by closing the data gaps • Pipelining and stormwater structure repair o Inliner completed $207,000 worth of urgent pipe lining and $10,000 worth of catch basin repairs o More pipe lining is planned for FY24, pending budget approval (and for years to come) due to continued pipe deterioration • Dover Ditch — shared project with Town of Jupiter 0 50% matching grant is still on the grants list BUT the Governor's budget has not been signed as of the date of this report o PO and work authorization issued to CMA for final design and permitting — ready to go o CORPS permit estimated to take 6-9 months, possibly up to a year This document may be reproduced upon request in an alternative format by contacting the Village Clerk's Office at 561-768-0440 or by completing our accessibility form: https://bit.ly/3mnfeU4 Page 125 of 537 Agenda Item #7. Pictures from stormwater pipe damage, repairs made or ongoing at 582 N. Dover Road: • Stormwater repairs — repairs were made due to pipe separation causing pavement, manhole, and other damage — located near 582 N. Dover Rd Water • Water Treatment Plant Projects - projects are in ongoing stages for the water treatment plant o SCADA modifications for critical ongoing communication issues are being scheduled for implementation o Water tank repair contract — PO issued and work in scheduling o Water Treatment Plant Improvement Project — PO issued for amendment #2 to the original agreement (modified scope developed for addressing hydraulic issues at the plant including pump number 7) o Membrane replacement design — Dover Engineering — in design for train #2 (there are three trains of membranes, all three will be replaced within the next year or so) o Unregulated contaminant monitoring rule (UCMR) pre-screening sampling —samples have been taken — expecting results within 30 days Page 2 of 3 Village of Tequesta Page , of 537 Agenda Item #7. o Lead and copper rule —triannual sampling letters have been mailed and samples must be submitted by September Other • Budget o FY24 draft budget presentation was given at the June 201" budget hearing • Asbuilt Scanning- scanning of our utilities asbuilts was successfully initiated with the goal of loading an asbuilt layer in our GIS system; there are many benefits to this effort o Focus is on water system asbuilts for the lead and copper service line inventory o There are many many asbuilts and documents to have scanned to avoid losing historical and institutional information about our infrastructure • Summer engineering Intern — Melanie Garro — presentation to Council o Continuing to learning about the Village, municipal government, and running a utilities department ■ Engineering plans ■ Water treatment ■ Stormwater/ NPDES permit/ stormwater requirements ■ Projects ■ Budget process o Vulnerability assessment — has been reviewing all documents and the draft model and provided added value to the project already; participated in the grants meeting and conducting follow up o Beach Road Phase II — design meeting, field meeting, spent time at KH on final design/ CAD work remaining o Spent time with the Loxahatchee River District (LRD) and is scheduled to tour the Solid Waste Authority (SWA) o Attended our Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC) meeting, the Loxahatchee River Preservation Initiative (LRPI) meeting, and Loxahatchee River Management Coordinating Council (LRMCC) meeting Page 3 of 3 Village of Tequesta PageVof 537 Agenda Item P.
