Re: Utilities Department Monthly Report
The Utilities Department monthly report for June is found below:
Stormwater

• El Portal —joint project with Public Works — includes road/ sidewalk improvements
o Received SFWMD dewatering permit
o Structures on order (10 catch basins, 2 exfiltration trenches, and 2 yard drains) and once
received, construction expected to take six weeks
o Then swales and sidewalks will be installed
o Completed project video with Doug and the Mayor on Friday July 141n
• FDEP Vulnerability Assessment Grant/ Protect
o Engineering intern, Melanie Garro, updated Council at the July 31't Council workshop
o Working with JEA to close data gaps and if needed, apply for additional resiliency funding
o Public outreach workshop to get feedback on the study and status is scheduled in Council
Chambers for Wednesday, August 161" from 6-8PM
• Dover Ditch — shared project with Town of Jupiter
o All LRPI grants have been approved by the Governor which includes Dover Ditch
o CMA performing design and permitting
o CORPS permit estimated to take 6-9 months, possibly up to a year
Water
• Consumer Confidence Report (CCR)
o The annual "Consumer Confidence Report" was posted and distributed last month, as required
by the EPA
• Water Treatment Plant Projects - projects are in ongoing stages for the water treatment plant
o SCADA modifications for critical ongoing communication issues scheduled
o Water tank repair contract with Crom — repairs completed — tanks are good — no internal issues
found

o WTP Improvements — project is being modified per the approved revised scope
o Membrane replacement design — Dover Engineering — in design for train #2 (there are three
trains of membranes, all three will be replaced within the next year or so)
o Unregulated contaminant monitoring rule (UCMR) pre-screening sampling : Pace has not
finalized the results
• WM#1 & #4 —Tequesta Dr and Country Club Dr
o Loxahatchee River District still conducting sewer pipe lining
o B&B Construction ordering materials and provided pre -construction submittals
o Will be sending out letters to residents
• WM#2 Beach Rd Phase 2
o Final design almost complete with meter and bypass modifications
o This will be the next project bid with a target bid date by September
Other
• Our engineering intern has completed her summer with the Village and returned to OF and the
marching band
