VoLo advises they are dedicated to educating audiences on creating a sustainable and safe planet for future generations. Per VoLo, the Foundation's annual Florida Climate WeekTM (FCW) is a virtual, free -to -access event scheduled from October 2nd to 8th, 2023, coinciding with Energy Awareness Month. This event aims to bring together industry leaders, front-line advocates, businesses, and individuals alike to address the urgency of the climate crisis and its impact on our state. Florida Climate Week will focus on solutions to reduce carbon emissions and create more resilient communities. VoLo has noted that Florida is ranked as the second most susceptible place in the world to climate - related changes. They have further stated data shows some of the rising sea levels, river flooding, high carbon emissions, and wildfires pose a significant risk, with projections suggesting that a substantial portion of Florida could be submerged underwater by 2050. These changes also lead to more frequent hurricanes that threaten our homes and livelihoods. It is crucial that we take action now; this proclamation holds immense importance for the people of Florida. For more information about the event, please visit https://floridaclimateweek.ora/.
