HomeMy WebLinkAboutDocumentation_Miscellaneous_Tab 7_7/27/1994 - 1 MEMORANDUM TO: Thomas G. Bradford, Village Manager FROM: Carl R. Roderick, Chief of Police DATE: July 21 , 1994 SUBJECT: Public Safety Committee Meeting Ref : Stationary Radar on Country Club Drive. The request for continuous radar stimulation of radar detectors on Country Club Drive would cost approx. $700 for each unit (used radar modules with solar battery power) or $1000 for a double mount connected to one solar source. To completely saturate CC Dr would take six (6) units , two singles and two doubles, in order to cover the curve area just north of the Tequesta Country Club (approx. $3, 400) . There would also be some yearly maintenance costs . While this could have nerve wracking effect on the few drivers who use detectors , I don' t know if it would really be cost effective. If the council would like to expend the funds from other than the police department 's budget , I would be happy to 'supervise the project, providing we get approval from FPL to use their poles .
