Re: Utilities Department Monthly Report
The Utilities Department monthly report for July is found below:
Stormwater
• El Portal —joint project with Public Works — includes road/
sidewalk improvements
o Construction mobilization commenced on Monday August 21'Y
o Catch basin and pipe construction expected to take 6-8
weeks, have had a few delays so far
o Then swales and sidewalks will be installed
• FDEP Vulnerability Assessment Grant/ Project

o Applied for an additional $50,000 of funding from FDEP from the Resilient Florida grant program
o Held the public outreach workshop on August 161" to get feedback on the study and status
• Dover Ditch — Shared Project with Town of Jupiter
o Grant administrator from FDEP has reached out and we'll be bringing the agreement to Council
o CMA performing design and permitting
o CORPS permit estimated to take 6-9 months, possibly up to a year

• Water Treatment Plant Projects - projects are in ongoing stages for the water treatment plant
o SCADA modifications — second contract for critical communication issues scheduled
o WTP Improvements — project is being modified per the approved revised scope
o Membrane replacement design for train #2 — Dover Engineering — design specs complete for
train #2; suppliers contacted with design specs, only Veolia remains willing to meet design
criteria accountability; train 41 specs will be modified for pressure and flow changes and same
membrane will be used; train #3 design planned for FY24
o Unregulated contaminant monitoring rule (UCMR) pre-screening sampling -received quote for
sampling all wells
• WM#1 & #4 —Tequesta Dr and Country Club Dr
o Loxahatchee River District has completed the sewer pipe lining
o B&B Construction has advised that materials will be delivered by about December 20th so the
full notice to proceed (NTP) is scheduled for January 8, 2024
o Pre -construction submittals and Village permits have been completed
o Will be sending out letters to residents before the construction starts
• WM#2 Beach Rd Phase 2
o Project will be funded by State Revolving Loan funds so a "Request for Inclusion" submittal has
to be approved before the project can be bid — next FDEP meeting is November
o Design complete with meter and bypass modifications-Kimley-Horn to send plans to Village
o KH updating engineer's opinion of probable cost prior to bidding
o This will be the next project bid with a target bid date soon after the FDEP meeting
