Subject: Village Appointments to the Newly Created Employees '
Pension Trust Fund; Agenda Item
Now that the Village Council has created the Employees ' Pension
Trust Fund, one of the first steps that needs to be taken is the
establishment of the membership of the Board. The Board of
Trustees of the Plan consists of seven members . Three members
are to be appointed by the Village, and three members from each
of the employee classifications covered by the Plan. The seventh
member is appointed by a vote of the other six.
The previous Village appointees to the former Firefighters '
Pension Board of Trustees were Mayor Mackail and myself . I would
be happy to continue serving in this capacity, and I assume that
Mayor Mackail would be, as well . Another Village representative
is needed and it can be another member of the Village Council or
any other person, so long as they are a resident of the Village.
Please consider making three appointments to the Employees '
Pension Trust Fund as Village representatives .
