Sheila R. Edelmann Lighthouse Habitat for Humanity is a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity Treasurer International, one of the largest nonprofit builders of affordable housing in the John Holton United States and around the globe. Our local affiliate has been active in the northern Palm Beaches since 1993, building and rehabilitating homes with families in need. This spring we will break ground on our fifteenth house on Directors 2nd Street in Jupiter. Allan Bartlett L'lene Chaplow As a nonprofit group, our success depends on our ability to develop nn Feyk partnerships with the whole community. We have enjoyed a great working Charles Godfrey relationship with the Tequesta Police Dept. They have been very supportive of Joy Gouyd our Thrift Store in CountyLine Plaza, recently awarding Mark Burin, our Martin Gouyd current LHFH Board President, with an outstanding citizen award. Bea Sallabi Kelvin Wise Our most significant challenge in the near future is to acquire properties and to increase our capacity to build affordable housing in an environment of rapid, Executive Director high end residential development. As homeowners, we can all enjoy the Patricia Stidham appreciation of home values in northern Palm Beach County. However, our organization believes that mixed income neighborhoods hold the most promise for revitalized, thriving communities. We believe that owner-occupied housing is key to family and community stability. We hope that you, in your new role as Village Manager, will lead the Village Council toward expanding opportunities for partnership with Habitat for Humanity. I have enclosed some literature for you to share with the Council. I would be happy to address the Council at a scheduled meeting to discuss Lighthouse Habitat for Humanity in detail.
