TO: Village Council Members and Village Manager

RE: Re-Zoning Application—Rood Property
Mr. Roy S. Rood and Patricia M. Rood,through their agent Gentile,Holloway, O'Mahoney,and
Associates, Inc., are requesting a re-zoning for a parcel of land containing 15.23 acres and
generally described as being located north of Riverside Drive, west and adjacent to the
Tequesta Pines Subdivision and west and adjacent to the southern portion of Chapel Court
Subdivision. This parcel of land, upon being annexed into the Village and being assigned a
future land use designation as Residential Low Density will be seeking a R--1 Single Family
Dwelling zoning. Zoning cannot be applied to a parcel of land until a land use designation has
been established upon the parcel. Since it has been requested to continue the Future Land
Use/Comprehensive Plan Amendment Public Hearings regarding this same parcel to the
Village Council meeting of September 27, 2001, it is necessary to request a similar
continuance of the re-zoning public hearing scheduled for September 13, 2001, to the
- September 27, 2001, Village Council meeting. By continuing this public hearing, it is not
necessary to re-advertise the hearing. Thank you.
