Kascavelis, Director of Fince__ a/S(blc )C1 an From: Thomas G. Bradford, Village Manager l Date: March 27, 1996 Subject: Consideration of Reappointment of William M. Sharpless to the Tequesta Municipal Firefighters Pension Board Section 3 . 1 of the Village of Tequesta Municipal Fireman' s Pension Trust Fund states that " . . .the fifth trustee shall be chosen for a two (2) year term by a majority of the previous four trustees as provided for herein, and such person' s name shall be submitted to the Tequesta Village Council. Upon receipt of the fifth person' s name, the Tequesta Village Council shall, as a ministerial duty, appoint such person to the Board of Trustees as its fifth trustee. The fifth trustee shall have the same rights as each of the other four trustees appointed or elected as herein provided and shall serve a two (2 ) year term unless the office is sooner vacated and may succeed himself in office. " According to my records, William Sharpless ' appointment to the Board of Trustees expires on June 9, 1996 . Based upon the foregoing, please see to it that the Board of Trustees gives consideration to Mr. Sharpless ' reappointment prior to his term expiration date and that the Village Council give consideration of his reappointment as a ministerial duty as soon as possible thereafter, but in no event, allow the time frame associated with Village Council reappointment to interfere with Mr. Sharpless ' responsibility as a member of the Board of Trustees . • TGB/cm
