Memorandum
To: Village Council
From: Thomas G. Bradford, Village Manager J
Date: October 2, 1997
Subject: Establishment of Village Council Priorities; Agenda
Item
The Village Council has completed the ranking of the Village
Council submitted priorities, pursuant to the process for
establishing such priorities . A copy of the submitted priorities
with their corresponding alphabetical assignment, as well as the
Priorities Scoresheet tabulation, is attached for your review.
The top five priorities as established by the Village Council are
as follows :
1. Complete financing and initiate construction of RO Treatment
Facility.
2 . Finalize Village decisions relative to a new Village
location by April 1, 1998.
3 . Resolve differences with ENCON.
4. Resolve water problems with Jupiter.
5. Expansion of the Water Department - selling water to Jupiter
Island and Martin County (parts of it) .
Once the Village Council establishes the Village Council
Priorities by the adoption of a motion, staff will proceed to
address the same. Monthly status reports will be provided to the
Village Council.
The establishment of Village, Council Priorities does not mean
that other issues will not be addressed during the course of the
next year, but rather that the focus of the Village Council and
staff for the immediate future will be on those issues
established by the Village Council.
