Bradford, Village Manager J � Date: October 2, 1997 Subject: Establishment of Village Council Priorities; Agenda Item The Village Council has completed the ranking of the Village Council submitted priorities, pursuant to the process for establishing such priorities . A copy of the submitted priorities with their corresponding alphabetical assignment, as well as the Priorities Scoresheet tabulation, is attached for your review. The top five priorities as established by the Village Council are as follows : 1. Complete financing and initiate construction of RO Treatment Facility. 2 . Finalize Village decisions relative to a new Village location by April 1, 1998. 3 . Resolve differences with ENCON. 4. Resolve water problems with Jupiter. 5. Expansion of the Water Department - selling water to Jupiter Island and Martin County (parts of it) . Once the Village Council establishes the Village Council Priorities by the adoption of a motion, staff will proceed to address the same. Monthly status reports will be provided to the Village Council. The establishment of Village, Council Priorities does not mean that other issues will not be addressed during the course of the next year, but rather that the focus of the Village Council and staff for the immediate future will be on those issues established by the Village Council. Finalize Village decisions relative to a new Village location by April 1, 1998 . Finance and construct traffic calming devices on Country Club Drive. F Resolve differences with ENCON. Resolve differences with Jupiter on water rate and long- range plans . f� Come up with a plan for Country Club Drive - Western Corridor and calming devices . Get Village committment for new Village facilities, public safety and Town Hall. Pursue annexation plans . 1� Resolve the water problems with Jupiter. Pursue annexation with at least one area to be annexed during 1998 or sooner. Recycled Paper V ► 1 Finance and construct at least two (2 ) traffic calming devices on Country Club Drive. NVigorously pursue 377 compliance to reach agreement with all affected properties and get all work started in 1998 . OComplete financing and start construction of RO Water Plant. Expansion of the Water Department - selling water to Jupiter Island and Martin County (parts of it) RO Plant Facilities for Police/Fire and office staff. r✓ Annexation Streetscape Plan for South Cypress Drive. Review all options re: RO - expansion - North, Martin County and Jupiter Island, etc. financing. Continue streetscaping throughout Village with property owner participation. VOT looks wonderful - let's - continue. U Village Hall location/Tequesta Plaza? Annexation - areas that we can do well. Country Club Drive - finalize what Council wishes to do.
