During this reporting period, there were 935 recorded phone
calls to the Village Manager's Office and 351 citizen
inquiries at the lobby counter.
O Memorandum to Village Council Regarding Resolution No. 7-
92/93; Providing for Amendments to Village Budgets/Agenda
Item.
O Letter to Richard Staudinger, P.E. , Gee & Jenson, Regarding
Palm Beach County Traffic Improvements.
O Memorandum to Village Council Regarding the Revised Village
Council Meeting Agenda. .
O Letter to Susan Brennan Regarding Traffic Enforcement within
the Country Club Area.
O Letter to Richard Valentine, Executive Director, Burt Reynolds
Institute for Theatre Training, Regarding a Grant Request.
O Letter to Orlon V. Carr, III, M.D. , Regarding Tequesta

O A Staff Meeting was Held on April 13, 1993, commencing at 2 : 30
P.M. in the Conference Room, wherein the following. items were
discussed:
1) The Chief of Police was requested to service the spare
car for the forthcoming Fire Chief.
2) Finance Director was requested to prepare the Budget
Preparation Schedule for all Departments.
3) The Building Official was requested to prepare an outline
of the zoning ordinance amendments scheduled for first
reading on May 13, 1993.

4) A discussion was held with the Water System Manager
relative to requiring employee to attend Word Perfect
training class .
5) The Chief of Police was requested to schedule the
necessary training for dispatchers to be certified for
EMS.
6) The Chief of Police was requested to produce crime
figures for 1992 and 1991 to compare trends relative to
the same.
7 ) The Director of Finance was instructed to have the
external auditors draft a letter to the Village
specifically delineating those activities that they feel
will rectify their segregation of duties criticism in the
financial operations of the Village.
8) All Department Heads were asked to solicit applications
from employees as volunteers in the Fire-Rescue
Department.
9) Finance Director was requested to produce a fire-rescue
chart of accounts .
10) Chief of Police advised of an inquiry he had from Turtle
Creek for police services.
11) Chief of Police inquired as to the feasibility of a stop
bar at the intersection of Tequesta Drive and Cypress
Drive. ,
12) Chief of Police requested the installation of a new water
fountain.
13) Chief of Police reviewed his dispatch remodeling program.
14) Chief of Police discussed advertisement for sealed bids
for surplus vehicles.
15) Water System Manager reviewed the findings of Gee &
Jenson relative to commercial base rates and was
instructed to spread any adjustment within commercial
rates.
16) The Village Clerk advised that there was concern in the
community relative to a proposed ENCON sewer installation
program. (low-pressure)

17 ) The Village Clerk advised that she would regularly attend
the JTJC Board Meetings .
18) The Village Clerk advised as to the phone number for the
Fire Chief .
19 ) The Village Clerk indicated that she had received a
request for the provision of a four-way stop at the north
gate of the Country Club.
20) The Finance Director advised of the Village's victory in
the Case of Thomson vs. Village of Tequesta.
21 ) The Director of Public Works sought direction relative to
lighting repairs of Village Hall.
22) Director of Public Works sought direction relative to
funding for ADA improvements .

O A Staff Meeting was Held on April 27, 1993, at 2: 30 P.M. in
the Village Hall Conference Room wherein the following matters
were discussed:
1) Informed the Chief of Police of my response to written
concern relative to Country Club Drive speeding.
2) The Building Official was requested to prepare a Zoning
Ordinance Amendment Schedule and outline for the May 13
Council Meeting.
3) The Building Official was requested to determine whether
his secretary was proficient in Word Perfect 5.0.
4) The Building Official was requested to contact the
Purchasing Department of the Town of Palm Beach to secure
a copy of their Town Hall roofing specifications.
5) A Fire Safety Training Schedule was agreed upon by the
Building Official and Fire Chief.

6) The Finance Director was again requested to produce the
Budget Preparation Schedule for all Department Heads .
7 ) The Finance Director was requested to expeditiously
produce the decision matrix requested by the Finance and
Administration Committee to enable them to recommend a
sound financing plan for Village capital projects and
expenditures.
8) The Village Clerk reviewed plans for the Palm Beach Blood
Bank Blood Drive.
9) The Building Official was asked. to remind the Deputy
Building Official of the Village Manager's desire to
review the advertisement for soliciting bids to renovate
the Public Works Garage.

10) The Village Clerk reviewed the status of the revisions to
the Employee Handbook.
11) The Village Clerk reviewed the status of the Community
Map Project.
12) The Village Clerk announced completion of the Lease
Agreement with JTJC.
13) The Village Clerk requested newsletter items from all
Department Heads.
14) The Building Official advised that aCAB Application
would be necessary for the temporary fire station in the
event that exterior modifications to that building were
made.
15) The Building Official reviewed problems with the proposed
re-roofing project for Village Hall, including price
quotes in excess of budget allocation and consideration
of phasing of the roof repairs to meet budget
constraints.
16) The Building Official made inquiries relative to the
Village Jury Duty Policy.
17 ) The Building Official submitted a Quality of Life Index
Survey for Administration consideration.
18) The Water System Manager discussed the Clerk/Secretary
Job Description Status .

19 ) The Water System Manager was instructed to expeditiously
meet with the Martin County Engineer for the purpose of
securing necessary U-2 Permit for the Well 25, 26 & 27
Project.
20) Water System Manager noted the need for change Order
approval by the Village Council for the Well 25, 26 & 27
Project at the earliest possible date, preferably on May
6 .
21) The Chief of Police announced that Officer Davis would be
Attending the Level I Certification in Code Enforcement.
22 ) The Chief of Police sought direction relative to the
Emergency Management Division's request for Reliefs
Distribution Points in Tequesta in the event of an
Emergency.
23) The Director of •Public Works requested to proceed with
refurbishment of Village Entrance Signs .
24) The Director of Public Works reviewed concerns relative
to the Armour Project and the repaving of Tequesta Drive.
25) On behalf of the YMCA, the Director of Public Works
sought any names of members of the River Edge Bath and
Tennis Club.
26) The Director of Finance reviewed changes to the Village
Life Insurance Program.
27) The Fire Chief indicated a need to review the Station 11
Construction Plans.
28) The Fire Chief advised the Water System Manager of his
need to review the Tequesta Water System capabilities
immediately.

Supporting DNR Request for Additional Time and Money to Study
