V. ANY OTHER MATTERS
o Susan Clark reported that the Palm Beach County Planning
and Zoning Department, with a Committee of volunteers
from the historical profession, drafted an Ordinance that
will provide for the preservation of historic sites in
unincorporated areas of Palm Beach County. The Advisory
Committee regarding this issue has suggested that i.t be
made a local option Ordinance to allow local
municipalities to adopt it, if so desired. This
Ordinance will appear before the County Commission for
approval in the near future. This Ordinance will give
the County what it needs to comply with State mandates
for Comprehensive Land Use Planning. The adoption of
this Ordinance by a municipality will allow that
municipality to be eligible for grant monies to aid in
the preservation of projects.
o Michelle and Chuck McDonald, owners of the previous Perry
Como residence, volunteered documentations, starting with
1965, regarding the history of that property. Susan
Clark accepted the documentation to pursue preservation
"of the information.
