During this reporting. period, there were ' 452 recorded phone
calls to the Village Manager's Office and 103 citizen
inquiries at the lobby counter.
0 Letter to Byron Cornwell, Esq. , regarding Village of Tequesta
vs . Siegel; Response to Request for Production and
Supplemental Interrogatories .
0 Memorandum to Village Council regarding the Community Map
Project.
O Memorandum to Tequesta Downtown Task Force Members regarding
the Tequesta Central Business District.
O Letter to Susan Carr regarding JTJC's Reciprocal Parking
Agreement with the Church of the Good Shepherd.
O Letter to John C. Randolph, Village Attorney, regarding the ,
Downtown Task Force; Request for Attorney Opinion.
O Letter to the Bureau of Economic and Business Research at the
University of Florida regarding Micro Computers and Economic
, Analysis; Spreadsheet Templates for Local Government.
O Letter to John Orr, City Manager, Palm Beach Gardens, •
requesting a quotation for fire-rescue services .

the Tequesta Representative to JTJC.
O A Staff Meeting was Held on November 17th wherein the
following items were discussed:
1) A status report on the Well 24 Project was requested of
the Water System Manager.
2 ) The Water System Manager was questioned relative to the
inclusion of Tequesta Water Treatment Plant pumpage
targets in his monthly reports .

3 ) The Water System Manager was requested to review his
budget for inclusion of anticipated Cypress Drive
Drainage Project and assessments for Water Department
property off of Bridge Road.
4) Gary Preston was informed of Beach Road Association
comments concerning the Beach Road improvements, i.e. , a
lack of flowers on the west side of the project and
maintenance complaints on the east side of the Intra-
coastal Waterway.
5 ) A discussion was held with the Police Chief as to the
timing of the bid advertisements for surplus vehicles .
6) The Building Official was questioned about the part-time
help during the occupational license season.
7 ) The Water System Manager was reminded of the need to
produce a map of the water system and the desired
accompanying map key.
8) The Director of Public Works reviewed the history of
Constitution Park and proposed improvements .
9 ) The Director of Public Works reviewed the schedule for
Tequesta Park improvements and the remaining hurtles
prior to commencement of construction.
10) The Director of Public Works discussed the Christmas
Carol Chorale.
11) The Director of Public Works discussed the Country Club
Pedestrian Crossing Project.
12 ) The Police Chief discussed the need for an awning at the
back door to the Police Station.
13) The Police Chief requested the input of the Building
Official relative to Ordinance No. 212 - Holidays and
Construction Activity.
14) The Police Chief discussed the ADA and the, lobby
renovation work..
15) The Chief of Police discussed employee payment procedures
relative to vacation pay.
16) The Water System Manager sought input regarding the
market value of the Tequesta Water System.
17 ) The Water System Manager inquired about the letter to
Turtle Creek regarding well sights.
18 ) The Water System Manager discussed the water bill message
for the holiday season.
19 ) The Water System Manager discussed the Interconnection
Agreement with the Town of Jupiter.
20 ) The Water System Manager discussed the letter regarding
the Girl Scout easement.
21 ) The Building Official reviewed proposals to re-roof
Village Hall and offered to prepare bid specifications
for the Project.
O Met with Pete Pimentel and Jack Horniman to brainstorm ideas
for the Town Center Master Plan.
O Gave a speech to the Beach Road Association.
O Attended the Chamber of Commerce Government Efficiency
Improvement Forum.
O Met with George Gentile to review the Town Center Master Plan.
O Attended the Fire-Rescue Advisory Board Meeting on November
19 .
O Met with the Mayor and Representatives of Florida, Power &
Light.
O Met with Vicki Porter and Kim Morgan, representing the
Institute of Government at PBCC, relative to Employee Training
Programs .
O Met with Councilman Mackail, - Commissioner Marcus and Chief
Brice regarding fire-rescue.
O Met with Mrs . Betty Nagy.
O Letter to Roy Gupton, Wackenhut Services, Inc. ; John Orr, City
Manager, City of Palm Beach Gardens and William O'Brien,
Director of Public Safety for Martin County regarding the
Tequesta request, for quotation for fire-rescue services; time
extension.
O Letter to Steve Cook, Director of Christian Education for the
First Presbyterian Church of Tequesta, regarding his request
for a temporary sign for the Christmas Land Celebration.
O Letter to Carlos J. Berracol, Esq. , regarding the
Jupiter/Tequesta/Juno Beach Chamber of Commerce Membership
Drive; Tequesta Vendor List.
O Memorandum to Village Councilmembers, Tequesta Board Members,
Tequesta Committee Members, Tequesta Task Force Members and
Department Heads regarding a Parlimentary Procedures. Course
offered at Palm Beach Community College.
O . A Staff Meeting was conducted on December 1 wherein the
following items were discussed:
1 ) Mr. Ladd was instructed to determine the outcome of. an
employee training program.
2 ) Mr. Ladd was requested to advise of the mandatory
occupational license .refunds .
3) The Water System Manager was instructed to place the
completed water system map on a presentation board.
4 ) All Department Heads were requested to make use of the
Institute of Government Programs at the North Campus of
PBCC.
5) The Finance Director was asked the status of the audit.
6) The Water System Manager was reminded to instruct
employees to purchase recycled paper only.
7) The Water System Manager was asked his findings relative
to budgeting for Cypress Drive drainage assessment.
8) The Finance Director was asked about tax disbursements .
9 ) The Water System Manager was requested to provide a
status report relative to hand-held meters .
10) The Finance Director informed the Village Manager of
Liberty Mutual 's desire to meet regarding financing
plans .
11) Village Clerk advised of Christmas Party plans .
12) Village Clerk requested newsletter items from all
Department Heads.
13) ' Village Clerk reported on efforts to improve sound system
• in Council Chambers .
14) Director of Public Works requested photograph of Tree
Board on Arbor Day.
15) Director of Public Works asked about the Constitution
Park presentation before the Village Council.
16) Director of Public Works was requested to review drainage
matters with Gee & Jenson regarding Dover Ditch.
17 ) Reflectors on the new curbing at Gallery Square South
were discussed.
18 ) Director of Public Works advised of plans to improve
landscape areas of concern on Beach Road.
19 ) Director of Public Works advised of a need to send out
Tree City Application by mid-December.
• 20 ) Chief of Police advised of plans relative to Christmas
Carol Chorale regarding fire truck and Santa Claus .
21 ) Police Chief reviewed his proposed physical fitness
program for the Police Department.
22 ) Chief of Police advised that the new OSHA requirements
mandate Hepatitis B shots when requested by public safety
personnel.
23 ) Chief of Police suggested that the defensive driving
course being taught to all officers could be taught to
all Village employees allowing the possibility of a
Village vehicular insurance discount.
24) Water System Manager inquired as to the status of the
Hydropneumatic Tank Project.
25) Water Sytem Manager sought input regarding the emergency
Interconnect Agreement with the Town of Jupiter.
