CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD
MEETING MINUTES
AUGUST 4 , 1 9 9 2
I. The Code Enforcement Board of the Village of Tequesta held a
regularly scheduled meeting at the Village Hall, 357 Tequesta
Drive, Tequesta, Florida, on Tuesday, August 4, 1992. The
meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman William
Frank. A roll call was taken by the Recording Secretary. •
Boardmembers present were: Chairman William Frank, Vice
Chairman Paul Brienza, Tim Goldsbury, William Sharpless,
Gordon Ritter and Jeffrey Vorpagel were present. Also in
attendance `were: Scott Ladd, Clerk of the Board, Steve
Kennedy, Code Enforcement Officer, and Village Attorney, John
C. Randolph.
II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Boardmember Sharpless moved that the Agenda be approved as
submitted. Boardmember Goldsbury seconded that motion. The
vote on the motion was:
William Frank - for
Paul Brienza - for
William Sharpless - for
Jeffrey Vorpagel - for
Tim Goldsbury - for
Gordon Ritter - for
' the motion was therefore passed and adopted.
III. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES (July 7, 1992)
Vice Chairman Brienza moved that the Code Enforcement Board
Meeting Minutes of July 7, 1992 be approved as submitted.
Boardmember Sharpless seconded that motion. The vote on the
motion was:

Paul Brienza - for
William Sharpless - for
Jeffrey Vorpagel - for
Tim Goldsbury - for
Gordon Ritter - for
the motion was therefore passed and adopted.

IV. SWEARING IN OF CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
Scott Ladd, Clerk of the Board, swore in Code Enforcement
Officer, Steve Kennedy.

V. PUBLIC HEARINGS
There were no cases for Public Hearing.
VI. PRESENTATION OF NEW CASES TO SET FOR HEARING
1. Case No. 92-15: Ilic, Steven and Anka, 68 Azalea Circle,
Tequesta. Violation of Appendix A, Zoning, Section X(0) ,
Village Code of Ordinances.
The Code Enforcement Officer recommended that the Board set
the above-referenced case for hearing on September 8, 1992 at
7:30 p.m.
Boardmember Goldsbury moved that Case No.92-15 be set for
Hearing on September 8, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. Boardmember
Vorpagel seconded that motion. The vote on the motion was:

Paul Brienza - for
William Sharpless - for
Jeffrey Vorpagel - for
Tim Goldsbury - for
Gordon Ritter - for
the motion was therefore passed and adopted.
2. Case No. 92-16: Joe DeRosa, Nicole's Restaurant, 157
Q.S. Highway One, North, Tequesta. Violation of Chapter
11, Licenses, Section 11-25, Village Code of Ordinances.
The Code Enforcement Officer explained that the above-
referenced case came into compliance before being set for
Hearing. Therefore the case was dismissed.

VII. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
There was no unfinished business before the Board.
VIII. ANY OTHER MATTERS
Case No. 92-004: Consideration of lien abatement request from
Jeffrey A. Yansura, Property Manager, Hykel Enterprises, Inc.
- Lighthouse Plaza.
The CEO explained that the violation in this case was .a
dumpster violation, which took a lengthy time to comply, in
the meantime accumulating a total lien of $4750. Present
property owners, not the original violators, have agreed to,
and the CEO recommends, since the property is in compliance,
paying the amount of $2000. 00, which will cover all Village
legal costs and a 10% assessment of the total fine.
Ms. Linda Raflowitz, representative for the property owner,
after being sworn in, stated that the new property owners have
made every effort to maintain the property, and agreed with
the CEO's recommendation.
Boardmember Sharpless moved that the Board accept the
recommendation of the Code Enforcement Officer in Case No. 92-
004. Boardmember Vorpagel seconded the motion. The vote on
the motion was:

Jeffrey Vorpagel - for
Tim Goldsbury - for
Gordon Ritter - for
the motion was therefore passed and adopted.

IX. ADJOURNMENT
Boardmember Goldsbury moved that the meeting be adjourned.
Boardmember Ritter seconded the motion. The vote on the
motion was:

Tim Goldsbury - for
Gordon Ritter - for
the motion was therefore passed and adopted and the meeting
was adjourned at 7:40 P.M.
