O Letter to Donald Mayer, CEO, Jupiter Hospital, Inc. , Regarding the Acquisition of North County Ambulance, Inc. O Letter to Lee Evett, Town Manager, Town of Jupiter, Regarding Jupiter Water Surcharge; Jupiter Ordinance No. 26-92. O Letter • to Chief Vincent K. Elmore, Fire Chief, Town of Palm Beach, Requesting Fire-Rescue Information. O Letter to Six Area Fire Chiefs and/or City Managers Regarding a Fire-Rescue Personnel Salary Survey. O Memorandum to All Department Heads Enclosing the Safety News Pamphlet for Distribution to All Employees. O Letter to Each Member of the Tequesta Downtown Task Force; Regarding Their Appointment by Village Council. • 0 A Staff Meeting was Held on September 8 at 2:30 P.M. , wherein the following was discussed: a) Mr. Preston was requested to provide an update regarding his inquiries to manufacturers of pre-fabricated buildings as an option for the contemplated Public Works garage. b) Mr. Preston and Mr. Hall were requested to provide a status report on the development of their rotating * on-call schedules. c) Mr. Kascavelis informed staff that he had ordered information from ISO regarding the Community Fire Rating System. • d) Mr. Preston informed the Village Manager that he was ready to proceed with the Comprehensive Tree Management Program for designation of Tequesta as a Tree City U.S.A. e) Mr. '. Hall expressed concerns regarding the desired easement by FP&L for a power transmission corridor. f) Mr. Hall urged the Village Manager to review the top three candidates for the Service Technician Trainee position. O Letter to John LeRoux, Esq. , Regarding an FP&L Easement; Tequesta Water Treatment Plant Property. 0 Letter to Craig Ahal, Recycling Supervisor for Nichols Sanitation, Regarding the Village of Tequesta Collection Schedule. O A Staff Meeting was Held on September 15 at 2:30 P.M. in the Conference Room, Wherein the Following was Discussed: a) The Village Manager gave an overview of contemplated administrative policies changing the Employee Handbook as it relates to the purging of information within personnel files. b) Mr. Preston was requested to provide an update on the status of right-of-way improvements adjacent to Gallery Square South. c) Mr. Kascavelis was requested to review his budget to determine whether funds were allocated in FY 93 to acquire a ' CAFR computer program, and if not, to secure the same this fiscal year by way of an intra-fund transfer. ti Village Manager's Report September 7 - September 18, 1992 Page 3 - d) Mr. Kascavelis noted that the necessary budget advertisement had been placed. e) Mr. Kascavelis informed staff that the first water bills containing new rates had been prepared. f) Mr. Preston informed the Village Manager of the need to acquire additional mosquito spraying chemicals. g) Mr. Preston informed the Village Manager that the streetlights located at the intersection of U.S. Highway One and Tequesta Drive belong to Palm Beach County. h) Mr. Preston informed the Village Manager that City Signs was working with JadCo to produce the modified entrance signs as previously requested by the Mayor. i ) Public Works garage alternatives were reviewed by staff. j ) Mr. Hall informed staff that the Well 24 Project was proceeding with pipe laying occurring. k) Village Manager advised Mr. Hall to contact the Mayor for scheduling a meeting with Turtle Creek residents regarding the Well 25 Project. 1 ) Mr. Hall informed staff of hurricane information he had received in meetings with other utility directors. m) Ms. Manganiello requested Mr. Ladd to provide copies of the St. Jude's site plan for the Downtown Task Force. n) Plans were made to purge the administrative files and the records retention area files. o) Ms. Manganiello informed Mr. Kascavelis that multi-family recycling would commence on October 1 for Sea Mist and Windemere Condominiums. p) Ms. Manganiello reported good news regarding contractor submittals for the various aspects of the Beach Road Signage Project.
