Bradford, Village Manager 776, RE: Tequesta Compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990 and Request for Assistance O The Village of Tequesta, in compliance with the ADA, and with the goal of serving the disabled community to the best of their ability, is participating in an ADA Compliance Plan. This Plan will identify the necessary changes in Village facilities in order to make such facilities accessible to the disabled wherever such changes will not result in undue financial hardship. O The Village of Tequesta ADA Coordinator is Thomas G. Bradford (407 )575-6200. O The Village of Tequesta has established a grievance procedure that incorporates due process standards and provides for the prompt and equitable solution of complaints of discrimination against an individual with a disability, including job applicants, employees, citizens and visitors. O The Village of Tequesta Employee Handbook and job announcements will include notices prohibiting 'discrimination. O The Village, of . Tequesta, in providing public notices, utilizes print media. In addition, job announcements will be made available over the telephone. • 0 The policies of the Village relating to hiring, dismissal, demotion, transfer, upgrading, and promotion , will be reviewed to ensure that they are not discriminatory. O The Village' s medical, hospital, accident, life insurance and retirement fringe benefits will be reviewed to ensure they do not discriminate against people with disabilities. • 0 . The Village is requesting input from the disabled community and any other interested persons , on how the activities offered by the Village of Tequesta can be more accessible to the disabled public.
