Bradford, Village Manager 4, FROM: Scott D. Ladd, Building Official DATE: July 16, 1992 SUBJECT: ADA Transition Plans Tom, attached are nine (9 ) sets of packets containing Transition Plans & Architectural Barriers checklist for seven ( 7 ) Village Departments/Facilities . The majority of the items listed in the Transition Plans that need to be installed, changed, or constructed, can be done in a fairly timely manner and at a minimal of cost . Certain other items such as the retrofitting of the Police Department and Water Plant rest rooms, and the installation of two handicap parking spaces with walkway and ramp at the Tequesta Park would take a little longer to complete, but all of the items in the seven (7) Transition Plans can be completed within one year of the adoption of the Plans. The adoption of these Plans and the implementation of the corrective actions set forth in the Plans will effectively serve as a "good faith effort" by the Village to comply with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities.
