COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD
MEETING MINUTES
M A Y 6 , 1 9 9 2
I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
The Tequesta Community Appearance Board held a regularly
scheduled meeting at the Village Hall, 357 Tequesta Drive,
Tequesta, Florida, on Wednesday, May 6, 1992 . The meeting
was called to order by Chairwoman Leslie Cook at 9: 30 A.M.
Community Appearance Board members present were: Chairwoman
Leslie Cook, Victor Strahan, Claudette Dalack and Peter -
Pallatto. Vice Chairman Paul Coben arrived at 9: 35 a.m.
Scott D. Ladd, Clerk of the Board was also in attendance.
II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Chairwoman Cook asked to add an item under ANY OTHER MATTERS.
The Agenda was approved as amended.
III. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES
The Community Appearance Board Meeting Minutes of April 15,
1992 were approved as submitted.
IV. NEW BUSINESS
There was no New Business.

V. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. Tabled at the April 15, 1992 meeting: An application
from Michael Colaprete for an 965 square foot addition,
removal of the existing drive-thru, landscaping and new
signage for The Jewish Mother, 236 U.S. Highway One,
South.
Michael Colaprete, owner and Peter Russo, Metro Design Group,
were in attendance. Mr. Russo stated that the building facade
will remain as is, but with glass block on the north side of
the building. The color of the building will be Tequesta
Beige with turquoise trim (columns and fascia. The existing
shingles will be replaced with off-white flat cement tile.
Mr. Colaprete stated he was yet undecided on the free-
standing sign. However the sign for the building was
definite.
The only landscaping which will be added is the section in
front to replace the drive-thru. Woody Knoebel of, Palm Thumb
Garden Center & Landscaping will be the Landscape contractor.
Paul Coben moved to approve the application as submitted,
deferring the free-standing sign to a later date. Peter
Pallatto seconded the motion. The vote on the motion was:
Leslie Cook - for
Claudette Dalack - for
Paul Coben - for
Victor Strahan - for
Peter Pallatto - for
the motion was therefore passed and adopted.
VI. ANY OTHER MATTERS
A. Chairwoman Cook read for the Board a letter she had
drafted to the Village Council regarding setting aside
Budget monies for landscaping the FEC- property at the
corner of Tequesta Drive and Old Dixie Highway. It was
suggested that landscape companies be approached
regarding donating plantings for this area. The Board
approved the draft letter.

B. Chairwoman Cook also read for the Board a letter she had
drafted to Palm Beach County Commissioner Karen Marcus
requesting the County to take responsibility for the
landscaping in front of Rinker Materials Corp. which was
destroyed by County construction on Old Dixie Highway.
The Board approved the draft letter.
VII. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting
was adjourned at 10: 10 A.M.
