Fax:(407)575-6203 de >>.,3x4v A CN cow+ MENICIFEAMDLTNIZ. TO: Village Council FROM: Thomas G. Bradford, Village Manager 7 DATE: December 11, 1991 SUBJECT: Budget Amendment; Agenda Item We need to amend the Village Budgets to accommodate two Water Department Capital Projects. The Telemetry Project, which allows monitoring and control of well sites from the Treatment Plant needs an allocation of $10, 195 for software and installation which is not anticipated to arrive in Tequesta until mid-January. Funds were allocated for this last year and a purchase order issued to encumber the funds, but said purchase order is no longer valid this far into the new fiscal year. Thus, we need to reappropriate funds to pay the bill when the software arrives. Second is the Old Dixie Water Main Work needed to accomodate the new road. Our total budget, as seen below, was $160,000. The work on Old Dixie began in August, so we anticipated all of the utility work, which is done first, to be done by October 1. This did not happen, so for FY 1992 we allocated funds _to do what we thought would be remaining to be paid. This did not happen either. Consequently, we did not spend construction funds last fiscal year and will have to amend the budget to have funds available for all construction this year. = CURRENT PROPOSED FY 1991 FY 1992 1992 ALLOCATION ALLOCATION ALLOCATION • ' • O Telemetry Project $ 61, 199 0 $ 10, 195 O Old Dixie W/Main $160,000 $84,325 $132, 080 Relocation and Conflicts It is recommended that the Village Council adopt Resolution , 5-91/92. Bradford, Villa ana e FROM: Bill C. Kascavelis, Finance D' ector DATE: December 11, 1991 SUBJECT: Amendment To The Water Enterprise Fund FY 92 Budget For Carryover Encumbrances Outstanding On September 30, 1991 The following listed revisions to the Water Department FY 92 Budget are necessitated for the payment of purchase orders outstanding at the close of FY 91. As a result of the high volume of projects being undertaken within the Water Department, it was virtually impossible to project accurately the amounts to be carried forward in all operating accounts for the FY 92 Budget. The budget revisions will not have a negative effect on the FY 92 Budget since such appropriations contained in the FY 91 Budget were anticipated to be expended by the end of the fiscal year. A sumarization of the budget revisions are as follows: 1) A/C 42-39-533-8-3-5497 Telemetry Wells 7, 18, 19,20 & 23 $ 1O, 195. ( This amount represents the final payment due on PO #1137 to. Florida Measurement and Control ( AQUATROL) . Work was not completed by 9/30/91) . 2) A/C 42-39-533-8-3-6498 Old Dixie Water Main Relocation and Conflicts $ 47,755. ( Additional funding required to complete the project per the contract with Palm Beach County) . These items are reported on page WDE-4 of Exhibit A of the FY 92 Budget Resolution. Respectfully submitted.
