Bradford, Village Manager ei, DATE: October 10, 1991 SUBJECT: Structural Repairs to Bridge #930227 Project; Bid Award; Agenda Item Attached hereto, please find a copy of the Consulting Engineer' s recommendation regarding this project, the bid tabulation sheet and the list of firms to which bid documents were forwarded. Bid documents for this project were opened on September 24, 1991, at 2:00 P.M. Five ( 5 ) firms submitted bids with Sieg & Sons, Inc. of Deland, Florida, the low bidder in the amount of $57,390. The Consulting Engineer has reviewed Sieg & Sons, Inc. qualifications and has recommended award of the bid to the same. Funding ($62,000) has been allocated in the FY 1992 Capital Improvement Fund Budget to undertake and complete this project. Structural repairs to Bridge #930227 (Tequesta Drive Bridge) are absolutely necessary at this time. Therefore, based upon the foregoing, it is recommended that the Village Council accept this recommendation and award the project to Sieg & Sons, Inc. , of Deland, Florida, in the amount of $57,390 as submitted. Bradford, Village Manager D FROM: Gary Preston, Director of Public Works & Recreation .4 DATE: October 10, 1991 SUBJECT: Recommendation of Bid Award for Structural Repairs to Bridge #930227 Attached hereto, please find the bid tabulation sheet for the above referenced project and a letter from Fredrick D. Shaffer, P.E. , Consulting Engineer, regarding the structural repairs to Bridge #930227 located on Tequesta Drive, just west of Riverside Drive. Mr. Shaffer has reviewed the qualifications, supporting documents enclosed, of Sieg & Sons, Inc. , of Deland, Florida, the low bidder in the amount $57, 390, and has recommended that the- Village of Tequesta accept their bid for this project. Funding for this project in the amount of $62, 000 has been provided for in the FY 1992 Capital Improvement Fund Budget. I would appreciate it if this bid recommendation could be placed on the Village Council Agenda for award at their October 17, 1991, meeting. Mr. Shaffer will be attending this meeting, should the Council have any questions regarding the same.
