Kascavelis, Finance Director/Vill e Clerk DATE: May 30, 1991 SUBJECT: Disposal of Surplus Personal Property of the Village (Agenda Item June 6, 1991) Following is the list of all surplus - unnecessary or unfit personal property of the Village which you recently requested. Authorization for disposal of the property listed should be secured from Council per the Provisions of Section 3.02 (8 ) of the Village Charter. Police Department Vehicles One ( 1 ) 1987, Ford LTD Crown Victoria 4-Door, VIN #2FABP72G6HX165223 One ( 1 ) 1986, Ford LTD Crown Victoria 4-Door, VIN #2FABP43G7GX146823 Building Department Vehicle One ( 1 ) 1984, Ford LTD Crown Victoria 4-Door, VIN #1FABP4363EZ150830 Water Department, Water Meters 188 - 5/8" meters 38 - 1" meters • 7 - 1 1/2" meters 1 - 2" meter 2 - 3" meters The Police Department has advertised for sealed bids to be received on June 12, 1991 for the ;.:ale of the above three (3) vehicles. Also, Tom Hall has made arrangements to sell the scrap meters to Sensus Technologies and receive credit from the sale to be applied to future new water meter purchases. BCK/mk Recycled Paper • RESOLUTION NO. 22-90/91 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO PROVIDE FOR THE DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS PERSONAL PROPERTY OF THE VILLAGE, WHICH PROPERTY HAS BECOME UNNECESSARY OR UNFIT FOR VILLAGE USE. • WHEREAS, Section 3.02( 8 ) , of the Village Charter designates the Village Manager as Purchasing Agent for the Village; and in such capacity provides that such individual. shall conduct all sales of personal property which the Village Council may authorize to be sold as having become unnecessary as unfit for Village use; and • WHEREAS, the following listed Village personal property ' has been determined to be surplus property - unnecessary and unfit for Village Use: 1 DETAIL OF PERSONAL PROPERTY POLICE DEPARTMENT VEHICLES 1 One ( 1 ) 1987, Ford LTD Crown Victoria 4-Door, VIN #2FABP72G6HX165223 One ( 1 ) 1986, Ford LTD Crown Victoria 4-Door, VIN # 2FABP43G7GX146823 BUILDING DEPARTMENT VEHICLE 1 One (1 ) 1984, Ford LTD Crown Victoria 4-Door, VIN # 1FABP4363EZ150830 1 WATER DEPARTMENT - WATER METERS (JUNK) • 188 - 5/8" meters 38 - 1" meters 1 7 - 1 1/2" meters 1 - 2" meter 2 - 3" meters NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT: • Section 1. That the foregoing listed personal property owned by the Village is declared to be surplus property - unnecessary and unfit, for Village use; and Section 2. In accordance with the provisions of Section 3.02 (8) , of the Village Charter, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to dispose of such specified personal property by sale or auction to be conducted in accordance with State Statutes applicable to the disposal of municipal surplus personal property. Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was offered by Councilmember who moved its adoption. The Resolution was seconded by Councilmember , and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: 2 _ 1 FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION • .
