The Special Magistrate appointed by the Village Council to hear code compliance cases
for the Village of Tequesta, in accordance with Chapter 162, Florida Statutes, has heard
testimony at the Code Compliance Special Magistrate Hearing held on the 01 day of March 2024,
and based on the evidence and testimony presented, enters this Order Assessing Fine. The
following Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law, and Order are hereby entered:
FINDINGS OF FACT
1. The Respondents are the owners of the above-described property.
2. The Respondents were not present at the hearing; there was a finding
of proper notice.
3. Code Officer Latoya Thompson provided testimony and evidence of the violation,
as contained in the Village's evidentiary case file which was accepted into
evidence without objection.

4. By the "Order Finding Violation" dated January 10`h, 2024, the Special Magistrate
ordered the Respondents to comply with Chapter 14, Article V, Section 14-121,
Subsection IPMC 304.2 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Tequesta by
January 2411, 2024, if not complied, a daily fine of fifty dollars ($50.00) per day
shall be accessed against the property for each day the violation continues to exist.
4. Based upon the evidence, pictures, and testimony presented at the hearing on
March 6", 2024, the property remained out of compliance as of January 24"1, 2024.
CONCLUSIONS OF LAW
The property remains in violation of Chapter 14, Article V, Section 14-121, Subsection
IPMC 304.2 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Tequesta.
ORDER
It is the Order of the Special Magistrate that a Fine of fifty dollars ($50.00) per
day be assessed against the property for each day the property remains in violation after the
compliance date of January 241, 2024.
The Respondents are hereby assessed three hundred dollars and thirty-eight cents
($303.38) for administrative costs incurred by the Village for the March 6", 2024, special
magistrate code hearing.
A certified copy of this Order may be recorded in the Public Records of Palm
Beach County, Florida, and, once recorded, shall constitute a lien against the property upon
which the violation exists and upon any other real or personal property owned by the
Respondents, pursuant to Chapter 162, Florida Statutes.
Upon complying with any code compliance matter, it is always the responsibility of
the Respondents to contact the Code Compliance Division at (561) 768-0519 to request a
reinspection of the property.
