Abby Brennan Mayor Award Established by Resolution No. 11-21 Criteria Established by Resolution No. 16-21 The Abby Brennan Mayor Award will be presented annually to an individual resident of the Village of Tequesta who has demonstrated dedication and service to the Village and who has made positive impacts to and for the Village of Tequesta and/or the State of Florida. The ideal candidate for the Award is a Tequesta resident who possesses strong moral character and who is known to demonstrate and embody honesty and integrity in service to the community. The following criteria will be used by the sitting Mayor to select the Tequesta resident who will receive the Abby Brennan Mayor Award each year: • An individual who continually volunteers his or her time, dedication, and talents to the Village of Tequesta and its citizens; making the Village of Tequesta an excellent place to live, work, and visit. • An individual who has shown a willingness to work with Village of Tequesta residents, who is enthusiastic about the Village and its citizens, and who works continually toward the betterment of the community. • An individual who has specifically made a positive difference to the health, safety, and welfare of residents of Tequesta, or has generally made a positive difference to the health, safety, and welfare of residents of the State of Florida through their service to municipal, educational, and/or other civic, religious, or community-based organizations. The inaugural Abby Brennan Mayor Award will be presented by Mayor Abby Brennan at the Regular Village Council meeting on April 8, 2021. Each year thereafter, the sitting Mayor will present the award during the Regular Village Council meeting in March. Page 7 of 209
