RE: Request for Contribution for Printing of River Works
Dear Ms . Magrogan:
This is in response to your letter of April 21, 1997, regarding the
above referenced subject .
Your request for a contribution from the Village of Tequesta will be an
agenda item of the Finance & Administration Committee of the Village
Council at their meeting scheduled for Monday, May 12 1997, commencing
at 8 :30 a.m. If a contribution is recommended by the Finance &
Administration Committee, it will be considered by the full Village
Council at their meeting on June 12, 1997 .
I trust that these Village procedures are acceptable for consideration
of your request .
Please have a representative available at the Finance & Administration
Committee Meeting on May 12, to answer any questions that the Committee
members may have .
Should you have any questions relative to the process to which your
request has been assigned, please feel free to contact me at your
convenience .

River is three-told: 1)to provide environmental education opportunities concerning the local
ecosystems,2)to obtain public involvement in and support of environmental education and
deer research,and 3)to continue to gain knowledge of the Loxahatchee River through
Singe 1995'Friends'.has been actively helping the envinnunental education

Ma's developprint environmental education workbooks on the
Loxahatchee River. The grant money was matched by money from'Fs' to print over
4.500 student workbooks and 1.500 bachers editions. Since September 1996 Rion Wioriks

workbooks have been given to the third and fifth grade classes before they visit the Centex
and are worked on during their visit The workbooks have received wonderful reviews

tram teachers,students and parents.
In the 1997--1990 school year,'Friends'would like to reprint the workbooks with addiaomd
. copies for the schools that can not visit the Center. To reprint the workbooks with additional copies it will cast 0,400. South Florida Water Management Dietriet has rewarded
from the Save the Indian River Lagoon license SZ,7rD0
Council of Gov ernmsnb have don $300 each for the tags. met `�atu!
On May Mr'Friends'would like to present the River L bib workbooks and ask for a
contribution from the Village of Tequesta. On behalf of the Friends of the Loxahatchee River
will be representatives to present the workbooks and answer any questions.
