Fiona' ;;.11,ki_ c-..; • (-;(.1) OM C .VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT SEPTEMBER 23, 1996 - OCTOBER 4 , 1996 During this reporting period, there were 391 recorded telephone calls to the Village Manager' s Office and 114 citizen inquiries at the lobby counter. • Met with Gary Van Brock at 2 : 30 P.M. on September 23 to discuss Dorner Land and Tequesta Fashion Mall . • Attended a meeting of Officials of tri-party Agreement for Cypress Drive Drainage Project at Town of Jupiter at 4 : 00 P .M. on September 23 . • Attended the Village Council Meeting at 7 : 00 P .M. on September 24 . • • Met with Robert Fehlhaber and Mayor Mackail regarding Tequesta Plaza and Central Business District activities on September 26 at 1 : 00 P .M. • Attended Public Safety Committee Meeting at 5 : 00 P .M. on September 26 . • • Participated in teleconference with Scott Hawkins and Jim Macon regarding ENCON defense at 2 : 30 on October 1 . • Attended a meeting at 10 : 30 A.M. on September 30 with Councilmember Capretta and Fire Chief Weinand at Jupiter Medical Center regarding ambulance transport issue . • Met with Councilmember Hansen at 2 : 30 P.M. on September 30 . ■ ' Attended the Finance and Administration Committee Meeting at 5 : 00 P.M. on September 30 . • Conducted a . Staff Meeting at 10 : 00 A.M. on October 1 wherein the following items were discussed: 1 . The Director of Finance was reminded to call an Employee ' s Pension Trust Fund ' Board of Trustees Meeting prior to October 31, 1996 . 2 . The Director of Finance was . reminded to advise all employees of the direct deposit option with the second payroll in October. 3 . All Department Heads were advised of the Inaugural Issue of the Employee ' s - Newsletter and its anticipated content for the future. 4 . A discussion was held with the Building Official relative to his Planner hiring recommendation. 5 . Village Clerk reminded to complete Community Map Project. 6 . All Department Heads reminded that any ENCON sewer extension, specifically the Tequesta Peninsula Project, must be approved by the Village Council . 7 . Director of Public Works and Village Clerk requested to initiate contract for mid-week cleaning schedule in Village office buildings . 8 . Director of Public Works and Water System Manager were requested to review plans for clean-up and removal of all non-living junk and surplus property at vacant land adjacent to Village Hall . 9 . Director of Finance was questioned relative for need to insure all Village vehicles for $2 million. 10 . Director of Finance reminded to rake General Fund transfer authorized by Village Council to Stormwater Utility Fund in such a fashion where funds are provided to the Utility Fund prior to receipt of non-ad valorem proceeds to enable salaries and equipment to be paid . 11 . The Finance Director was requested to rectify Recreation Impact Fee Account. 12 . Water System Manager requested to provide status of RO Well Project on Old Dixie Highway. 13 . Water System Manager requested to provide status of Garage Project. 14 . Water . System Manager requested to advise of formal leak detection program for River. and Intracoastal crossings . 15 . A discussion was held of all Department Heads relative to need for post office boxes . 16 . Village Clerk advised of dead oak at ambulance squad site. 2 17 . Director of Finance provided with telephone numbers to contact Arthur J. Gallagher or Gallagher-Bassett for self insurance review. 18 . All Departments were advised of proper way to submit monthly reports pertaining to Village Council Priorities . 19 . All Departments advised that sale of property at 370 Maple Avenue closed on September 30 . 20 . Chief of Police inquired as to what deadlines were facing the Code Enforcement Officer since CEO was on leave due to death in family. 21 . Chief of Police inquired as to process for disposal of impounded car located on Water property. 22 . Chief of Police advised that Arts & Crafts Festival personnel had been advised of proper contact persons at Martin County and other agencies for Festival vehicle control arrangements . 23 . Chief of Police inquired as to acceptability to process officer uniform allowances . 24 . Chief of Police spoke of previous conversations with Hugh Elliot . 25 . Building Official presented copy of proposal for infrastructure engineering observation at Tequesta Oaks . 26 . Village Clerk advised of citizen concerns regarding licensing and need for to-do list . 27 .
