FEBRUARY 10 - 28, 1997
During this reporting period, there were 323 recorded telephone
calls to the Village Manager' s Office.
• Attended the Regional Roadway Mediation at 6 :30 p.m.
• Letter to Richard Poulette, President, CWA, Regarding
Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
Memorandum to Michael Morrill and Ric Ricciardi, Police
Officers, Pertaining to VOT Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
• Memorandum to Scott D. Ladd, Building Official Relative to
Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council; Town of Jupiter
Water Utility Project .
• Memorandum to Director of Finance regarding Directive
Prohibiting More than One Employee From Taking a Smoking
Break Simultaneously at the Tequesta Corporate Center.
• Letter to Lee Evett, Town Manager, Town of Jupiter,
regarding Town of Jupiter v. Village of Tequesta; Notice of
Public Meeting per F.S. 164 . 103 (2)
• Letter to Scott G. Hawkins, pertaining to Tequesta
Peninsula Sewering; ENCON' s Proposed Resolution 97-2 .
• Attended the Village Council Meeting at 7 :00 p.m. on
February 13 .
• Meet with various Tequesta Cultural Groups at 11 : 00 a.m.
February 14 .
• A Staff Meeting was conducted at 10 : 00 a.m. on February 18,
wherein the following items were discussed..
1) ` The Director of Finance distributed the Budget
Preparation Calendar.

2) Director of Public Works was reminded to budget for
any surveying equipment so desired.
3) The Village Clerk was requested to determine the need
for providing additional funds for recording
secretarial services in upcoming budget.
4) Water System Manager was directed to provide a Drought
Plan for water restrictions in two weeks time.
5) Water System Manager directed to provide Leak
Detection Program results within two weeks time.
6) Building Official confirmed that he had directed
Planner to do a review of Tequesta Procedures and
Report on need for staff report and recommendation for
Site Plan Review, Variances, Landscape Waivers,
Special Exceptions and Rezoning Applications.
7) The Director of Finance reported that the IRS
Determination Letter for the Tequesta Employee ' s
Pension Trust Fund would `be commenced upon finalization
of Plan Administrator Services and Actuarial
appointment.
8) The Village Clerk was directed to provide phone
consultant cost estimates in two weeks time.
9) The Director of Public Works was directed to report on
status of easement for Shay Place.
10) Director of Finance was directed to report on health
insurance status.
11) Building Official directed to report on status of Pole
and Easement from Mobil Oil .
12) Water System Manager directed to provide status of
right-of-way permit for reverse osmosis lines on Old
Dixie Highway and directed to provide status report

relative to same at its forthcoming Staff Meeting until
project completed.
13) Building Official requested to provide up-date on his
direction to enforce hedge requirement on Old BRITT
Building.
14) A discussion with all applicable Department Heads was
held relative to the provision of receipts for credit
card charges.
15) Director of Public Works requested to bring forward
Grant Information on the Beautiful Palm Beaches Grant
Program.
16) Village Clerk directed to get with Water System Manager
and check Garage Project for compliance with Tequesta
Interior Design Standards.
17) Director of Finance was directed to create a worksheet
with Village Manager approval sign-off for separation
pay for all employees separating employment from
Tequesta.
18) Fire Chief directed to report on financial status of
ambulance operations.
19) Director of Finance directed to report on Y2K Impact
and Cobol on Mini-computer utilized by Tequesta.
20) Director of Finance reminded to provide form letter
notification to all applicants not hired.
21) Director of Public Works directed to replace light at
southwest corner of Tequesta Drive in U.S. Highway One
and check all walls for algae and mildew growth.
22) Fire Chief requested information relative to Home Depot
House account.

23) Fire Chief sought clarification relative to 95°s Trim
Law and Property Appraiser information receipts.
24) Director of Public Works requested Village Manager
review of YMCA Agreement .
25) Director of Public Works & Recreation requested staff
review of Recreation Center for acceptability.
26) Water System Manager requested delay in Village Manager
request for Water Plant tour in two weeks.
27) Village Clerk reported on storage rental concerns .
28) Village Clerk reported on staff adherence to Village
Council Chambers cleaning schedule.
■ Attended the Special Village Council Meeting at 9 :00
a.m. on Wednesday, February 19th.
■ Attended the City Manager/Finance Director Meeting at noon
in Tequesta on February 19 .
■ Meet with Village Planner at 10 :30 a.m. on February 20th
relative to Staff Annexation Report.
■ Meet with Executive Director of Jupiter/Tequesta Juno Beach
Chamber of Commerce at 2 : 00 p.m. on February 20th.
■ Attended Public Hearing and Board Meeting of ENCON at 6 :55
p.m. on February 20th.
■ Memorandum to Steve Allison, Police Chief, Thomas C. Hall,
Water System Manager and James Weinand, Fire Chief,
regarding Individual Responsibility for Amex charges without
receipts .
■ Memorandum to Village Council pertaining to Chief of Police
Report relative to Lawrence Schutz Release From Prison.
