Subject: Stormwater Utility Non-Ad Valorem Assessment
This Non-Ad Valorem Assessment was established in 1996 at the
rate of $5 . 12 per Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU) . One ERU
equates to 3 , 576 square feet of impervious area. Single-family
residences are broken into three (3) categories :
Small = 0 . 65 ERU
Medium = 1. 00 ERU
Large = 1 .30 ERU
Condominium units are assessed at 0 . 67 ERU/unit . Multi-family
units are assessed 0 . 84 ERU/unit . Commercial and Industrial
parcels are assessed based upon the total impervious area of each
individual parcel converted to ERU' s at the rate of 1 ERU per
3 , 576 square feet of impervious area. This equates to
approximately $198, 000 annual income to Stormwater Utilities .
The Board should consider if this is adequate funding for
Stormwater Utilities or if assessment adjustments are necessary.
