I'c�n1Office 13c�x i��i • i "1'egtic�l;i1)ri� .•> o Tec uc�ct. 1=lcxicLt i5_6203 j ih�)-t L7. • t 5h I t �-5-hat x t `�4'' � 1 — VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT APRIL 7 , 1997 - MAY 2, 1997 During this reporting period, there were 254 recorded telephone . calls to the Village Manager' s Office. • Attended the Palm Beach County Cultural Council Public Hearing at 7 : 30 p.m. on April 8 . • Attended the Fire-Rescue Budget Review Meeting at 10 : 00 a.m. on April 9 . • Met with residents of Country Club Drive regarding traffic calming devices at 3 : 30 p.m. on April 10 . • Attended the Village Council Meeting at 7 : 00 p.m. on April 10 . • Attended the Public Safety Committee Meeting at 3 : 00 p.m. on April 11 . • A Staff Meeting was conducted at 10 : 00 a.m. on April ' 15, 1997, wherein the following items were discussed: 1 . The Building Official was instructed to provide a status report relative to his creation of a new right-of-way permit application. 2 . The Building Official was instructed to report upon the status of the pole and easement from 'Mobil Oil at the intersection of County Line Road and U.S. One. 3 . The . Building Official was requested to report on the status of the ENCON Site Plan Review for the Tequesta • Peninsula Sewering Project. 4 . The Water System Manager was instructed that under no circumstances was the reverse osmosis budget upon which the estimates for bonding in the vicinity' of $7 , 055, 000 . to be exceeded. 5 . The Water System Manager was instructed to proceed with the leak detection program for all subaqueous crossings using overtime in order to complete the same in light of insufficient progress relative to previous Village Manager instructions . 6 . Water System Manager was requested to report on the status of right-of-way permit from Palm Beach County for reverse osmosis discharge lines on Old Dixie and, thereafter, to. provide an engineering estimate of the space left for FPL. 7 . The Water System Manager was directed to proceed with paperwork necessary to formally adopt a Tequesta Water Service Area Boundary. 8 . Building Official was reminded of the Concurrency Annual Report due in May. 9 . Building Official instructed that Zoning in Progress for ACLF has been going on too long and t;o rectify same with Village Attorney. 10 . Finance Director instructed to have staff provide copies of telephone bills to all Department Heads on monthly basis for internal auditing purposes . 11 . It was reported to the Building Official that allegations had been made that certain of his personnel continued to leave the office at 4 : 00, contrary to previous instructions prohibiting same. 12 . Building Official queried relative to word processing program standards . 13 . The Fire Chief distributed copies of his draft Emergency Management Plan for departmental comments . 14 . The Fire Chief advised that Jupiter Island was seeking RFP' s for emergency medical services . 15 . Director of Finance advised that he would prepare a memorandum for health insurance enrollment procedures . 16 . Chief of Police advised as to the status of Rita Walter' s abandoned vehicle and to have same designated as surplus . 17 . Chief of Police provided Ordinance 377 up-date. 18 . Chief of Police advised that he had prepared a Code Enforcement Procedure in order to streamline the current process. 19 . Water System Manager advised that, a developer had • contacted him for development of that land whereupon sits the European Auto Dealer for development of the entirety of the same, said parcel being located within the Town of Jupiter but within the Tequesta water service area. 20 . Water System Manager reported on reverse osmosis discharge drainage plan. 21 . Water System Manager advised that all water bills to be mailed to Tequesta customers would use Tequesta, Florida as the address . 2 22 . Building Official advised that the fence submittal for the Central Garage Project included barbed wire and Water System Manager directed. by Village Manager to delete the same for esthetic purposes . • Attended the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Meeting at 7 : 45 a.m. on April 16 . • Attended the Police Department Budget Review Meeting at 10 : 00 a.m. on April 16. • Attended the City Managers/Finance Directors Monthly Meeting in Juno Beach at 12 : 00 noon on April 16. • Met with Planning Consultant and Planner regarding the LPA and Charette preparations at 9 :30 a.m. on April 17 . • Met with Stormwater Utility Coordinator at 2 : 30 p.m. on April 17 to review the AKA Contract. • Met with the Mayor and Karen Flint to review proposed fundraising event for public safety facilities at 4 : 15 p.m. on April 17 . • Met with residents of Country Club Drive at 4 : 00 p.m. on April 22 to review traffic calming alternatives. • Attended the Public Works Department Budget Review Meeting at 10 : 00 a.m. on April 23 . • Participated in conference call with Village Attorney and Councilmember Mackail at 10:30 a.m. on April 24 . • Attended the Stormwater Utility Advisory Board Meeting at 7 : 00 p.m. on April 28 . • • Attended the Special Village Council Meeting at 4 : 30 p.m. on April 29 . • Attended the Finance and Administration Budget Review Meeting at 10 : 00 a.m. on April 30 . • Participated in conference call with Attorney Hawkins and others relative to Tequesta Petition against South Florida Water Management District and Town of Jupiter at 4 : 00 p.m. on April 28 . • Attended the Redevelopment Committee Meeting at 8 : 30 a.m. on Friday, May 2 . • Memorandum to Department Heads Regarding Distribution of Village Manager Sexual Harassment and Other Forms of Discrimination/Harrassement Memorandum. • Memorandum to Michael Whelan, Esq.
