Bradford, Village Manager Date : April 30, 1997 Subject: Resolution Urging Expansion of the Use of Sewage Treatment Revolving Fund to Include Stormwater Management Facilities; Agenda Item As was noted at your recent Stormwater Utility Board Meeting, Tequesta Stormwater Utility can always put to good use additional sources of revenue . There is a push right now within the State Legislature to expand the use of the Sewage Treatment Revolving Fund to include Stormwater Management Facilities . As we have so vividly learned in our on-going struggle with ENCON, pollutant loadings from stormwater are the most significant source of surface water pollution in the Loxahatchee River and the State of Florida. Accordingly, it would be very beneficial if legislation were passed that allowed Stormwater Management Facilities to be paid for from the Revolving Fund. We have put together the attached Resolution for your consideration in the effort to expand the use of the Revolving Fund to include Stormwater Management Facilities . It is recommended that the Village Council adopt this Resolution. TGB/mk Attach.
